The queens jubilee is getting closer

This morning we have started to make paper chains for the jubilee; we are looking forward to making some crowns, flags, fruit scones and a recycled flag.

Lookout for our creations.

Left over rice from lunch will not go in the bin !
Rice is a great sensory activity for children.
This can be used to play in the play kitchens, run cars through on a messy mat, mixing and pouring activities.

Food can be a great source to play with and can let the children experience food in another way.

It’s nearly Easter hooray.

To celebrate Easter we are asking parents to create an Easter costume or hat with their child. The children will then be able to wear their creation to nursery while taking part in other Easter activities.

Providing activities for parents to do with children that they can do at home and show at nursery provides some family fun time, linking things at home with nursery and allowing them to be proud of something they made to show off to their friends at nursery.

Have fun creating !!!

Mother’s Day is on Sunday!

Our children were able to decorate flower magnets, boxes and cards for their mums if they wished to take part. Giving the option to the children to take part in activities, promotes decision making and freedom of choice. Children who did not take part will be able to take the activity home to complete with parents. Activities and projects are provided but not enforced for children to take part.
