A short video how we approach our maths classes.💪The points to take away from this video are:
❌ FREE consultation, we find out areas the student is weakest in and come up with a plan of action.
❌ Lesson structure: we address the lessons they are weakest in one by one. By the student practicing the questions and us ironing out any misunderstandings
❌ homework is set at the end of each lesson. Homework is related to the topic and is due 24 hours before the next class
❌ students need to have a camera and download zoom
Breakaway Tutors
Our goal is to simplify the tutoring process !!
Forward this to a person who needs to hear this. Sometimes we find students claiming to be serious but their actions say otherwise.
Just a piece of advice to those who got thwir GCSE results today. I hope you all done well.
I generally dislike talking about further maths, always felt like i was done dirty but at least its something someone can learn from
When student have a time table, amazing things can happen. In your time table, account for things that important to you, it might be football, gym or gaming but schedule your week.
Keeping it real about life after uni. Don't feel like you got to work in a factory if you studied engineering or have to work in labs if you studied science. Be opened minded and try stuff out
Dont over burden yourself more than you need to. Work smarter not harder lol

An Ascend Tutor further explained the concept of lines to a GCSE student today.
They struggled with how to generate a parallel and perpendicular line from a question that only gave co-ordinates.
The tutor broke it down in steps (1 to 4 as shown in the picture) and explained the similarities and differences in the method of solving them.
A few more practice questions and we believe they’ll be ready to move on the the next topic…. Simultaneous Equations !!
