πŸŽ“ Celebrating Sixth Form success across Habs Trust South

Students across our four Sixth Forms have been celebrating their results – and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.

This year saw our best overall Sixth Form results since the Covid restrictions, with 70% of grades at C or above and 71% of grades in Applied subjects achieving Distinction or higher. We’ve also seen some particularly strong progress, including at Knights Academy, where the proportion of students achieving A*–B or higher has risen to 41% from 22%.

And, of course, behind every result is a young person with their own ambitions and aspirations.

From University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Imperial College London, The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and UCL, to degree apprenticeships and exciting career pathways, our students are heading off to an incredible range of destinations.

This year also marks a special milestone for Borough Academy, as its founding Sixth Form cohort celebrates its first results and graduates.

We are proud not only of what our students have achieved, but of the ambition, determination and resilience they have shown throughout their Sixth Form journey.

πŸ‘ A huge congratulations to the Class of 2026 – and our very best wishes for whatever comes next!

πŸŽ‰ Today, every one of our nine schools is celebrating something truly special.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Haberdashers' Academies Trust South, our communities have come together for our Belonging Festivals – a day of celebration, creativity, reflection and joy. From performances and exhibitions to sport, culture, art and time capsule ceremonies, each school is celebrating in its own unique way while sharing one common purpose: belonging. Today is made even more special as Hatcham College also celebrates its remarkable 150th anniversary.

🎀 At the heart of today's celebrations is Together We Rise – a song written by our pupils that captures what it means to grow, learn and flourish as part of our Trust family. Created by pupils from our primary schools and Haberdashers' Borough Academy, it reflects the friendships, courage and opportunities that have shaped generations of children and young people across our schools.

Thank you for this amazing collaboration Ruth Masterson and Ediz Suleyman together with Oscar Lane and Johnny Simon, and all our primary music teachers. A true example of our 'From 3 to Forever' ethos.

"Different voices, just one song. Together we know that we belong."

As we celebrate these milestones, we're incredibly proud of every child, young person, colleague, family and partner who has been part of our journey. Thank you for helping to build a Trust where every child can flourish, every school is strengthened by working together, and belonging is at the heart of everything we do.

Here's to celebrating our past, embracing our present, and shaping our future. πŸ’œ

Last week, our schools marked Neurodiversity Celebration Week with a Trust-wide campaign focused on understanding, inclusion and belonging.

Developed in collaboration with our incredible SENDCO Network and launched through assemblies and form-time discussions, our new short film and campaign materials explore how everyday school experiences can feel very different for different pupils, and how small acts of awareness and kindness can make a real difference.

"By using a range of school-based scenarios to create the film, we wanted pupils to reflect on how people around them can experience a seemingly everyday moment differently. Through assemblies and form time activities, we opened up discussion about the positives of seeing the world through a neurodiverse lens, and encouraged our pupils to think more deeply about small gestures or acts of kindness that could make a big impact on those who might be finding a moment difficult."

- Rachel Cadman, Director of Inclusion

With around 1 in 5 pupils and staff across our schools identified as neurodivergent, this is an important opportunity to raise awareness, challenge assumptions and continue building school communities where every pupil feels supported and that they belong.

Our heartfelt thanks go to pupils and staff who were involved in the filming and who brought this campaign to life in a very real way for our schools.

From 3… to forever. πŸ’›
At Haberdashers’, we nurture a sense of belonging that lasts long after pupils leave our schools. Many go on to stay connected, giving back to the communities that helped shape them.

A Warm Welcome to Our New Year 7 Families!

Yesterday was National Offer Day and we are delighted to welcome our new Year 7 pupils and their families to our Haberdashers’ community.

Whether you are joining Haberdashers' Knights Academy, Haberdashers' Hatcham College, Haberdashers' Borough Academy or Haberdashers' Crayford Academy, we are so pleased you will be part of our family.

Starting secondary school is a significant milestone. It marks the beginning of new friendships, new experiences and exciting opportunities to grow in knowledge, confidence and character.

If you would like a glimpse of what makes our schools such special places to learn and grow, take a moment to watch our pupils share, in their own words, what being part of Haberdashers means to them. πŸ’™

Over the coming months, we will work closely with our primary colleagues and with you as families to ensure every child feels ready, supported and excited for September.

Welcome to the Habs family β€” we cannot wait to meet you.
