Just a reminder that only plain white Gi will be allowed (Premier League Gis are not Allowed).

As for those who are competing in the Club Championships, NO NATIONAL BADGES to be worn.

This broke my heart, may I never be to busy to care

I was at McDonald's in Poughkeepsie, NY tonight around 10:30 getting the girl some fries and a milkshake when I noticed the guy sitting down next to his bike. I kinda had a feeling he wanted to get food but couldn't, (no car, lobby closed) so I offered to go around the drive-thru for him.
He pulled out a crumpled up coupon for a BOGO Big Mac and was struggling to get all the money together so I offered to buy his meal.
The sad thing is prior to that, we watched car after car pass him right by. And I thought to myself, that must be a terrible experience watching the world go right by you like that and not pay you any attention, like you don't even exist...
It made me realize this world goes by so fast that sometimes we forget the simple and basic good human qualities that we all possess like empathy, humility, compassion and more importantly generosity.
So please if you're going to get anything out of this post. Be kind to others because one day you could be the one sitting on a curb next to your bike, starving and have the world pass you right by as you did to others.

Happy 70 year reign your majesty.

Very proud of Brandon Wilkins, we have had the honour of watching him work his way up from a youngster, through to the junior circuit, and to achieve this on his first senior cap is fantastic. Brandon has trained at the East London Dojo many times, and am sure he would attest to the fact that behind every success are a whole load of disappointments to overcome, hours and hours of training, a supportive coach and family and many karate ka that help push him to be better, but ultimately on the day on the tatami, all of that has to come together, and its down to him. We are sure that this is only the beginning for Brandon and hopefully the start of a resurgence in the success of British karate, with Amy Connell of Scotland also taking a bronze medal.
From all of us at the East London Dojo, great job, and well done Brandon. 👏 👏👏👏🥋
