And in 1889 King Umberto I and Queen Margherita travelled to Naples. The Queen’s favourite variety of pizza was the classic red, white and green of the Italian flag (tomato, mozzarella and basil). As the story goes, from then on this type of pizza was named Margherita 🇮🇹🍕

What do you want to eat?
Pizza for me!
Is there anything better than an Italian pizza? I still remember my favourite pizza ever at a small ristorante off the main square in Siena in Northern Italy. It was a pizza bianca, so instead of having a tomato base it was butter - I’ll never forget how good it tasted! 🍕 Hungry yet?!

It took photographer Philippe Halsman 26 shots (remember, there was no photoshop!) to create this iconic 1948 image of Salvador Dalí, even roping in his wife and daughter to throw in the water and cats. Halsman, who also photographed the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein, helped influence modern-day portrait photography, encouraging photographers to interact with their subject.

So we all recognise this incredible image from the 1969 moon landing but who is in the photograph? Neil Armstrong, right? Wrong! In fact it’s Buzz Aldrin, who took his first steps on the moon 19 minutes after Neil Armstrong - astronaut yes, but also photographer of this iconic image (he’s visible in the visor if you look closely) 🌙👨🚀

Do you have sisters or brothers? Yes, I have two brothers.
Now in theory to ask someone in Spanish if they have siblings you can simply say ‘¿tienes hermanos?’ because historically the plural always follows the masculine version. But I prefer this alternative. It’s the same rule for parents too, for example, where mother is ‘madre’ and father is ‘padre’ and parents (or fathers) is ‘padres’.
What do you think about this rule?

Where do you live? 🇮🇹
I live in England.
I live in Italy.
The pronunciation of the ‘g’ in Inghilterra is a hard g sound like in ‘gate’ not ‘gel’
