🌿🐐 A wonderful day at Deen City Farm.

Our little explorers loved meeting and feeding the animals, discovering nature and making memories with their friends. Days like these spark curiosity, build confidence and remind us that some of the best learning happens outdoors. 💚

💦☀️ Water play days are the BEST days! ☀️💦

There’s no better way to cool off during this extreme heatwave than with lots of splashing, pouring, scooping and laughter! 💙

Water play isn’t just fun—it supports fine motor skills, problem-solving, language development and teamwork while helping children stay cool.

🌞 In this hot weather, we’re also taking extra care to keep everyone safe by:

💛 Playing in the shade where possible
💧 Offering plenty of water throughout the day
🧴 Applying sun cream
👒 Wearing sun hats
⏰ Avoiding long periods in the sun and taking regular cool-down breaks

Happy children, happy splashes and staying safe in the sunshine! 🌈💦

🚒 Fire station adventure! We climbed on the fire truck, sprayed the hose, explored the gym and garden, met the fish, and even played football with the firefighters! ⚽️💦 What a day! ❤️

☔🌧️ Rainy days make the best adventures!

We wrapped up warm, pulled on our wellies, and headed out for a rainy-day walk. Along the way, we splashed through plenty of puddles, listened to the raindrops, and explored the world around us. 💦👢

A stop at the playground made the adventure even more exciting, with lots of climbing, balancing, and exploring despite the drizzle!

Outdoor play in all weather helps children develop:
💙 Gross motor skills
💙 Balance and coordination
💙 Resilience and confidence
💙 An appreciation for nature and the changing seasons

The biggest smiles came from the water-filled wellies and muddy puddle jumps! 🌈✨

🌳📚 Bringing stories to life with our The Girl Who Planted Trees tuff tray activity!

Little hands explored a variety of natural textures, dug, planted, and created their own miniature forest inspired by the story. 🌱✨

This sensory-rich invitation to play encouraged:
🍃 Texture exploration
🌳 Fine motor skill development
🖐️ Hand-eye coordination
📖 Story comprehension and imagination
🌎 Conversations about caring for our environment

Learning through play helps children connect with books in meaningful, hands-on ways while developing essential early years skills.
