This week we’re celebrating all the excitement of Wimbledon here at daycare! 🌱💚

Our little champions have been busy:
🎾 Exploring tennis balls, rackets and tennis courts
🎨 Creating Wimbledon-inspired arts and crafts
🤸‍♀️ Developing their gross motor skills through fun ball games and racket activities
👀 Practising hand-eye coordination, turn-taking and teamwork
💬 Learning new vocabulary while having lots of fun!

Through play, the children are building confidence, coordination and communication skills while enjoying a week full of sporting fun! 🏆

💦☀️ Water play days are the BEST days! ☀️💦

There’s no better way to cool off during this extreme heatwave than with lots of splashing, pouring, scooping and laughter! 💙

Water play isn’t just fun—it supports fine motor skills, problem-solving, language development and teamwork while helping children stay cool.

🌞 In this hot weather, we’re also taking extra care to keep everyone safe by:

💛 Playing in the shade where possible
💧 Offering plenty of water throughout the day
🧴 Applying sun cream
👒 Wearing sun hats
⏰ Avoiding long periods in the sun and taking regular cool-down breaks

Happy children, happy splashes and staying safe in the sunshine! 🌈💦

🚒 Fire station adventure! We climbed on the fire truck, sprayed the hose, explored the gym and garden, met the fish, and even played football with the firefighters! ⚽️💦 What a day! ❤️

☔🌧️ Rainy days make the best adventures!

We wrapped up warm, pulled on our wellies, and headed out for a rainy-day walk. Along the way, we splashed through plenty of puddles, listened to the raindrops, and explored the world around us. 💦👢

A stop at the playground made the adventure even more exciting, with lots of climbing, balancing, and exploring despite the drizzle!

Outdoor play in all weather helps children develop:
