Women’s Liberation Bridged Through Folk and Bharathanatyam

Through this powerful performance, sharing a vital truth about Women’s Liberation — not through words alone, but through movement, expression, and tradition.

By beautifully bridging folk traditions with the classical depth of Bharathanatyam, this choreography becomes more than art — it becomes a message. A message of strength. A message of resilience. A message of awakening.

Women’s liberation is not a rejection of culture — it is a reclamation of voice within it. Every step, every gesture, and every expression in this piece reflects the silent struggles, the unspoken strength, and the enduring spirit of women across generations.

Dance Choreography:Jeyaverni Jeganathan (London)
Lyrics / Poet:Vanniyasingam Kugavel (Jaffna)
Music Composer:Kaplan Kugavel (Colombo)

Together, they have created a performance that bridges regions, generations, and traditions — uniting them in a bold artistic expression of empowerment.
