The children explored the importance of keeping their teeth clean and healthy through fun, hands-on activities, including role play, brushing demonstrations, and creative crafts 🪥🎨 These experiences helped them to understand daily routines and build positive habits from an early age.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team and provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5.

Key Responsibilities
• Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
• Immediately report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• Maintain a vigilant and proactive approach to children's well-being.
• Attend all required safeguarding and child protection training.
• Support children’s development through planned and spontaneous play-based activities.
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS requirements.
• Provide inclusive, child-centred care that meets the needs of all backgrounds and abilities.
• Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and engaging
• Build respectful, professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Keep parents informed of their child’s progress and any concerns.
• Contribute to team discussions, planning, and continuous improvement.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures as set out in nursery policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and daily checks as required.
• Take part in regular training and reflective practice.
• Stay informed about current legislation, EYFS updates, and best practices.

Requirements
• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS check (Preferred)
• Paediatric First Aid certificate (Preferred)

Starting Salary: £13 p/h
Contract Type: Permanent 30 Hours from September
