OET Reading Part C is where the texts become longer and more complex.

You usually need to read two longer texts of around 700 to 800 words, with multiple-choice questions that test more than basic understanding.

You may need to identify the writer’s opinion, attitude, meaning, or implication.

OET Writing can feel much easier when you follow a clear process 📝

In this clip, Grace breaks the Writing task down into four steps:

Read
Plan
Write
Check

Before you start writing, you need to understand the task and skim the case notes. Then you should spend a few minutes planning your letter, use that plan while writing, and leave time at the end to check for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and simple language errors.

If OET Writing feels overwhelming, the answer is not always to write more letters.
