In our post-SATS world, Year 6 have been exploring the physical and human geographical elements of Japan 🇯🇵 In our DT project, we tried our hand at making a Japanese-inspired, healthy on-the-go snack which we called frushi. With varying degrees of success, we were able to make some delicious snacks and we'll now use our literacy lessons to learn how to advertise and market these delicious treats!

In Reception and Year 6 our Windrush celebrations have begun! We used the power of kindness to create a headdress with a friend and had the best time! We can't wait to see the headdresses and masks that everyone makes next week during our carnival!

Our Year Five pupils had an amazing DT session, immersing themselves in outdoor learning as they barbecued delicious sosaties (a South African BBQ classic). Celebrating global citizenship and enjoying the sunshine, their joyful learning experience was filled with laughter.
Wishing you a happy half term! Year Five eagerly awaits the rest of the summer term, ready for more extraordinary adventures. Your unwavering support is invaluable. Enjoy the break and return refreshed as we continue this exceptional academic journey together.

Garnet Class took full advantage of our superb weather to head outside for a Literacy lesson! We're reading Kensuke's Kingdom and used Michael's arrival on the island as an inspiration to use natural resources to recreate the scene Michael Morpurgo was creating in his writing. The smiles, laughter and creativity were a terrific combination for an amazing lesson!

Here are some wonderful Viking trainers and shoes. Yr3 studied Viking knotted patterns and drew their own footwear. They then became designers and created the latest Viking modern trainer. Which ones would you buy? Dragidas? Vike? Vikeverse? Raiders? Thordicars? Norsidas? Vic-Kings? We love them all !
