🦷🐴 Dentist day for our ponies! 🐴🦷

Our lovely ponies recently had their routine dental checks to make sure those all-important teeth are healthy and comfortable. 💚

Regular dental care is such an important part of looking after our horses and ponies. Their teeth can develop sharp edges and other problems that may make eating or wearing a bit uncomfortable, so keeping on top of their dental checks is a big part of keeping them happy and healthy.

Some of our ponies were absolute superstars… and a few had slightly more opinions about the whole situation! 😂🙈

A big thank you to our equine dental professional for taking such good care of them and making sure everyone’s teeth are ready for plenty more munching! 🌾🐴

🌟 What a brilliant first Pony Club of the term! 🐴💚

It was so lovely to welcome everyone back and see our Pony Club members getting stuck straight in! Lots of riding, learning, pony care, teamwork and, of course, plenty of smiles and pony cuddles. 🥰

We’re so proud of how enthusiastic everyone was and it was great to see both ponies and riders enjoying themselves.

A fantastic start to the new term and we’ve got so much more planned over the coming weeks — badges, stable management, riding skills, challenges and lots of pony fun! 🏅🐎

There were far too many special moments from this summer to squeeze into one post, so here’s a little more of our Summer 2026 at the Pony Centre. 🥰

More ponies, more smiles, more adventures, more friendships and even more memories made. 💛

Looking back through all these photos really shows just how much we’ve packed into one summer — and how lucky we are to have such an amazing team, wonderful riders, families and volunteers around us.

☀️🐴 WHAT A SUMMER! 🐴☀️

What an amazing summer we’ve had at the Pony Centre! 💛

From busy Hoof Camps, pony adventures, lessons, hacks and endless summer days at the yard, to welcoming some wonderful new additions to our team — it’s certainly been a summer to remember.

We’ve watched friendships grow, confidence build, goals achieved and so many special memories made along the way. 🥰

A huge thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, riders, families and supporters who have been part of it all. The Pony Centre simply wouldn’t be the same without the amazing people — and ponies — who make it such a special place. 🐴❤️

We’re a little sad to say goodbye to summer… but we’re also SO excited for everything we have planned for the autumn term! 🍂

Here’s to an unforgettable summer and an exciting new chapter ahead. ✨

🐴 Back doing what she loves ❤️

After some time off following an injury, this lovely girl is now gradually making her way back into work as part of her rehabilitation.

There’s no rushing the process — just plenty of patience, careful management and taking each day as it comes. Bee’s workload is being slowly and carefully increased to help her regain her strength and fitness while keeping her happy and comfortable.

A huge amount of credit has to go to our amazing team, who have worked wonders looking after her throughout her time off and continue to give her everything she needs during her rehab. From the everyday care to all the little extras, it really has been a team effort. 🥰

It’s so lovely to see her back out, ears forward and enjoying having a job again. ❤️

Slowly, steadily and one hoof at a time. 🐴✨

☀️🐴 WHAT AN EPIC SUMMER! 🐴☀️

How is summer nearly over already?! 😭

It’s been an absolutely incredible few months at the Pony Centre — packed with ponies, riding, camps, adventures, laughter, learning, new friendships and SO many brilliant memories. 💚

We’re definitely not ready to say goodbye to the long summer days just yet… but we are VERY excited for what’s coming next! 🍂✨

The Autumn Term is just around the corner and we’ve got lots to look forward to….

We had such a great day yesterday! Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre held a social afternoon giving volunteers, staff, and trustees a chance to relax and socialise together, and celebrate the teamwork that goes into running such a special charity.

Joining us for our afternoon of fun were special guests: Michael Bishop, CEO of RDA UK (); Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central and Acton (Rupa Huq MP); our founder, Mary-Joy Langdon; Colin Gurley, representing the Worshipful Company of Loriners (The Worshipful Company of Loriners); and Carl Tamboli representing Trade Web ().

The theme of the afternoon was collaboration in RDA. WSPC is home to 4 RDA groups: Wormwood Scrubs; Hyde Park; Knightsbridge; and Royal Mews! Michael Bishop spoke about RDA, the pony centre, and collaboration. He presented long service certificates to volunteers and to Camargue horses Nounnat, Raboliot, Vectrix, and Seth who have each given over 10 years service to RDA.
We had a demonstration ride by 4 of our RDA riders, showing the variety of skills and exercises they do in their riding lessons. The ride was narrated by one of our volunteer coaches explaining the additional benefits and skills that RDA brings above the fun of riding ponies!

Celebrations were also held for staff members Elaina and Marcus, who have both recently completed their NVQ2 apprenticeships; and we officially welcomed our new yard manager, Lauren (Lauren Dawes).

Topping it all off we had a delicious cream tea with Pimms and Sangria – Yummy!

A super busy day but packed with fun, friendship, and collaboration!
