Here is a glimpse from our ceremony — with heartfelt thanks to Madame Elizabeth Ngundu and Wilson Njoroge Gakuya for their leadership and support.

Malaysia has officially stepped into the future of learning.

Our AI teachers are teaching AI Literacy Skills to students and teachers at SMK St Anthony, SMK La Salle Klang, and St Francis’ Institution Malacca.

The project is made possible through the leadership and support of the Malaysian
Federation of Lasallian Alumni Associations
(MFOLSA) and Twintech International University College of Technology (TWINTECH).

Congrats Krizia! Krizia is our Partnerships and Projects Lead, where she is transforming global education through technology.

Since joining our team in 2021, Krizia has expanded digital training initiatives across 17 countries globally, reaching diverse groups including NEET youth in the UK, girls facing barriers to education in the Philippines, and crisis-affected learners in Palestine.

In 2023, Krizia co-led the launch of OIAI, the AI-powered digital teacher, which achieved a 95% learner completion rate far surpassing the 7–14% industry average. Designed to deliver 24/7 personalised education, OIAI engages learners with over four questions per hour and provides critical support for neurodivergent students in the UK.

Currently based in Vietnam, Krizia is also expanding OI’s impact globally. She co-led the OI Lead Initiative, our AI literacy training programme designed for young learners from marginalised communities in Kenya that reached more than 170,000 learners in just 3 weeks.

- How are national strategies influencing access to AI education?

Thrilled to finally be here with the LeoLion Foundation and some of the brightest minds in the tech space!

EDGE AI: it is like having a smart assistant built right into your device. Instead of sending data to a distant server for processing, the device itself handles the data.

This means our OIAI teachers can teach and respond to our learners much more quickly, and it doesn't always need an internet connection to work.

Our AI teachers can help learners learn new things, answer questions, and give feedback on teachers' assignments—all without needing to connect to the internet.

Finally, learning is available to everyone, no matter their location.

Can AI bridge the gap between traditional and digital teaching?

Despite the improved accessibility provided by MOOC platforms and online lessons, learning outside of the classroom remains largely in one direction.
Students either read or consume passive audio-visual content like recordings and videos, seeking clarifications independently and applying their learning without guidance.
Teachers often lack insights into students’ learning progress, comprehension and challenges outside the classroom.
