This month in preschool the children have been looking at their artist of the month, Frida Kahlo.
The children have explored self portraits and felt inspired to create a large scale portrait of Frida.
Over the last few weeks the children have been working together to create one of Frida’s self portraits using a variety of materials such as paint, sponges, tissue paper, string and paper! The children have been admiring their work proudly since it has gone on display, as they should! Because they have done an amazing job.

Today we celebrate yet again another amazing educator here at WWK, Kulsuma!
Kulsuma has done some fantastic work in the pre toddlers room, she always keeping a consistent routine for the children which is key on supporting a child to feel safe and secure. It is a pleasure to have to here at WWK, well done Kulsuma ❤️

The Toddlers had the best time on a trip to our local library Idea Store Canary Wharf! The children did excellent walking, talking about all the fun things they could see! When they reached the library the children had a browse of the various books, with so many to choose from they were spoilt for choice!
The children enjoyed some independent reading as well as mini group reading sessions. At WWK, we promote the love for books and taking time to read with the children to benefit their development and of course, who doesn’t love a good story? Comment your favourite below! 👇

Preschool have been having lots of fun in the sunshine this week, they really enjoyed their aim and throw game where they got to throw wet sponges at their preschool teacher Shannon! They were asked to aim at different parts such as arms, knee, shoulder etc, a great way to practise their aim and cool off! 🧊☀️🤣

WWK wants to wish all the Dads a very happy Father’s Day! To celebrate we hosted a lovely Father’s Day breakfast on Friday. Dads across the different rooms all came together to have a lovely breakfast and chit chat! It was a wonderful outcome, it was lovely to see everyone chatting and enjoying delish food made by our lovely chef! From fresh fruit smoothies, yogurt, compote & granola to delicious avocado on toast with poached eggs! And a few pastries of course 🥐. We hope you all get spoiled by your loved ones and have a fantastic day!
