๐ธ Art & Design Club Creations ๐ธ
We had a lovely time in Art & Design Club this week creating beautiful flower gardens from clay, all inspired by and linked to our Natural Forms project this term. ๐ผ
The children have been learning the fundamentals of slab rolling, cross-hatching, and how to use slurry to securely join clay pieces together. Itโs been wonderful to see their creativity flourish while developing new clay-building skills.
Such imaginative and thoughtful work from everyone โ well done! ๐จ๐

Hands in motion, ideas taking shape! โจ
Children make colorful faces from pipe cleaners, building dexterity, patience, and playful problem-solving along the way.

Creating a World Book Day mermaid costume with my student was such a rewarding experience! ๐งโโ๏ธโจ
We explored working with multiple layers of tulle and net fabric to build a beautifully full skirt, practised gathering techniques for a decorative finish, and also carefully sewing stretch fabrics on the sewing machine. So proud of the focus, patience and creativity shown throughout โ amazing progress! ๐งต

Iโve been a bit quiet on here for a while, but Iโm hoping to be more consistent with posting this year โ a small New Yearโs resolution of mine.
This photo captures the children at Thomasโs diving into the design process for their embroidery hoop wall hangings, inspired by Clare Youngs. Such a lovely start from everyone.
