“A mysterious Hollywood action film stuntman gets in trouble with gangsters when he tries to help his neighbour's husband rob a pawn shop while serving as his getaway driver.”

Drive is a modern classic of neo-noir cinema.

This is an absolute gem and if you get a chance to see it on a big screen anywhere, don’t hesitate!

This is a complex layered story full of drama, subtlety and action and it’s all played to a magnificent score by Cliff Martinez.

This is one of those films where the music completely changes the tone and adds an extra layer. It wouldn’t be the same film without this music.

Ryan Gosling plays a stoic character who falls in love with his neighbour. It’s such a different take on cinematic love and refreshing to not enter into all the cliches of happily ever after.

There is some very smart cinematography used, mixed with brilliant production design. The aesthetic of this film is beautiful. And what a poster!

“A lot of guys mess around with married women, but you're the only one I know who robs a joint just to pay back the husband. Crazy.”
