Way back in 2024 we had the absolute pleasure of meeting the incredible Sandi Phoenix and Christopher Phoenix of Phoenix Support for Educators at the Childcare & Education Expo and it has been wonderful keeping in touch with our friends on the other side of the world 🌏

Early this week I recorded the latest episode for Childcare and Me The Playbook with Sandi and we spoke about all things cups, because we're so quick to say "you can't pour from an empty cup", but what cup?! What is emptying our cups? What can we do to refill them and notice when they're getting drained? What can we put in place to support ourselves? One of our all time favourite places Warwick Castle this place really brings history and storytelling to life, and to make this trip extra special Princess Mini Marvels Childminding and her royal family joined us 🤍

Huge shout out to Sunrise Japanese Bakery & Coffee for the most incredibly delicious matcha and bakery I've ever been to! And (Warwick) for that insane pizza, finding these gems really made our weekend extra special! Check them out if you visit

My heart is busting with pride and joy with my amazing friend E4 Under 4

Today I hosted my third home educators event, a wonderful picnic set up with toys and activities for the children of all ages to enjoy whilst parents could connect, share experiences and ideas on this beautiful sunny day we welcomed over 15 families ✨

Cat has built a wonderful community, connecting businesses to families, sharing and shouting about local businesses and bringing us all together 💖 thank you Cat

It's crazy how just 4 months ago I heard the wonderful Matt Bawler speak at the Childcare & Education Expo and then our paths happened to cross again Laura Henry-Allain MBE book launch on a rainy Saturday at Portobello Road Market and I reached out my hand and introduced myself to Matt (you can hear about some big Sam feelings on this in our podcast episode!)

Matt is such an inspiration and our conversation left me on the highest high ✨

What an incredible time visiting Alton Towers Resort (Official) this week! Cbeebies Land was so much fun, favourite part from all three of us...HERE COME THE GRANNIES! The Bluey ride of course! Bumping into our friends JoJo and GranGran made me think of my lovely friend Laura Henry-Allain MBE P getting her Map Badge at the Hey Duggee show was fantastic and meeting the Heeler Family, dream come true, yes I'm 34 and said that!

We stayed at the Cbeebies Hotel and wow, wow, wow! This hotel is INCREDIBLE! You step into the world of Cbeebies from the fully immersive entrance to the rooms, we stayed in Octonauts room and it was amazing. As a parent (and childminder) I was super impressed with the amount of added details in the room, bottle warmer, baby bath, travel cot, nappy bin, step stool, everything was thought about, it was clean and tidy and comfy beds after a day in the park.
Breakfast had a lovely selection at the hot buffet, cereal and fruit bar and pancakes!

And then we headed over to their waterpark in Splash Landings and my goodness, it was hard to leave, every turn and corner had something new to explore! But by the end of it B&P were having all the adventure fun whilst this mama was chilling in the hot springs

Bill's Big Bakery Adventure!

Billy absolutely loves baking and cooking, he is definitely Head Chef! He cooks every day for our Mini Moons and bakes throughout the week with the children, so I thought I'd do something extra fun for Bill's birthday and send him to a French Bakery Course BREADAHEAD at Borough Market for the day! Where he made pain de campagne, brioche, croissants, madeleine and monkey bread with dark chocolate and raspberry jam, yes it was all delicious! (As you'll see in the last pic)

A bitter sweet delivery today

This year, 4 mindees go to reception and pre-school, but the really special thing about this group, I've known and loved them since they were under 1

I've seen their first steps, heard their first words, held them close when they needed me, watched them change from little bubbas into the most amazing kids a childminder could have wished for

As our time together comes to an end and the shelves empty from your creations and drawings and we welcome new mini moons into our home, I want you to know, I've never just been your childminder, your teacher but your bestie. We've grown, learnt and changed together.

I selfishly wish I could keep you here a little bit longer but you're so ready for your next adventure and I'm so proud of you all in your own little ways, the playroom is going to be so different without you all.

I hope I filled your earliest childhood memories with love, joy and fun as well as giving you the skills to thrive throughout your beautiful lives but for now we're going to have the best last summer together

And to our new mini moons about to join us, I promise to give you a childminder you deserve, someone you can always call your friend and memories to cherish
