๐ Nurturing Little Minds Through Playdough! ๐
In our Nursery, we're always on the lookout for exciting and creative ways to lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Children had an incredible playdough session that not only brought smiles to little faces but also fostered essential skills and understanding of the world around us.
๐จ Expressive Arts and Design: Playdough isn't just about squishing and moulding; it's a canvas for young artists! Our little ones got their hands busy sculpting imaginative creations, giving wings to their wildest ideas. Expressing themselves through art is a powerful way for them to communicate and explore their creativity.
๐ค Improving Coordination: Manipulating playdough helps develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. As they roll, pat, and shape, children build the foundations for precise movements that will serve them well in various activities throughout life.
๐ Understanding the World: Through playdough, our children learn about texture, form, and even basic scientific principles. They're experimenting, observing, and making connections with the world around them. It's a hands-on introduction to concepts they'll encounter as they grow.
๐ Development and Care: Playdough sessions emphasize patience, care, and attention to detail. As they create and care for their doughy masterpieces, children learn responsibility and the satisfaction of seeing their efforts come to life.
At St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, we believe in holistic development, and our playdough adventures are just one example of how we're nurturing well-rounded, curious, and creative individuals. We're proud of our little artists and their boundless potential!
Stay tuned for more exciting updates on the incredible journeys of our young learners.

๐ถ I was impressed by the enthusiasm and talent of our Year 3 students at St Patrick's Catholic Primary School. ๐ถ This week, they delighted me with a lovely Spanish song they've been learning.
๐ช๐ธ It's incredible to see our young learners embracing a language spoken by millions around the World.
Keep up the fantastic work, everyone! Learning languages opens up new horizons and cultures. ยกBien hecho! ๐๐

๐ Coming Together in Faith and Compassion ๐
Our children in Year 2 and Y4 gathered in unity to attend Mass to offer our heartfelt prayers for those who need it most.
๐ We prayed in solemn reflection, remembering the victims and their families affected by the recent earthquake in Morocco. At this moment, we send our thoughts and prayers across the miles, showing that compassion knows no boundaries.
๐๏ธ Our hearts also carried the weight of the world's conflicts. We prayed for the victims of wars around the globe, asking for healing, hope, and an end to suffering...
๐ซ Within our community, we extended our prayers to encompass every member of our school and parish. Together, we are a family bound by faith and supporting one another in our respective journeys.
โช๏ธ In these moments of reflection and prayer, we reinforce the values of empathy, compassion, and unity that lie at the core of our school's mission. We believe that by fostering these qualities in our children, we nurture not just educated minds, but also compassionate hearts.
May our collective prayers bring solace to those in need, and may our faith continue to guide us in making the world a better place.

* Encourage decision-making, creative thinking and reflection, thereby developing independent thinkers
* Develop teamwork and organisational skills
* Help pupils/children gain and develop useful life and leadership skills
* Enhance children's knowledge and skills of learning and growing through physical education
* Build self-esteem, character, confidence and a sense of achievement
As the programme progresses there will be other leadership opportunities, for example, assisting in after-school clubs and coaching and mentoring younger children.

St Patrick's Catholic Primary School

As we say our goodbyes, I would like to wish our Year 6 pupils all the best on their new journey through life beyond these walls. It has been an absolute privilege for our entire St Patrick's Catholic Primary School community to be part of your learning and development during your time here.
As you step into the next chapter of your lives, remember to keep working hard, trust in your abilities, treat others with respect, and hold onto the belief that God will always be there to guide you through any challenges you may face. You are all in our prayers, and we will forever be proud of your achievements.
As we draw the curtains on this memorable academic year, there is one more special acknowledgment that deserves our heartfelt gratitude. We extend our sincere thanks to Fr. Freddy, whose unwavering support and presence have been a beacon of light throughout this journey.
Fr. Freddy went above and beyond to commemorate this significant milestone in the lives of our Year 6 students. He graciously celebrated a touching farewell Mass, filled with blessings, wisdom, and words of encouragement. It was a truly moving experience, as we all came together to bid farewell to our dear Year 6 pupils and send them off on their new adventures.
Fr. Freddy's kind gesture epitomises the spirit of our St. Patrick's community, where support and care for one another are at the core of our values. His presence during this momentous occasion left an indelible mark on the hearts of our students, teachers, and staff alike.
As we now step forward, carrying the lessons learned and the memories cherished, we are grateful for the unbreakable bonds we have formed within our St. Patrick's family. Fr. Freddy's involvement in our farewell celebrations further emphasises the strong connections that exist between our spiritual growth and academic journey.
With heartfelt appreciation, we extend our thanks once more to Fr. Freddy for making this farewell Mass an unforgettable event for our Year 6 students. May his kindness and dedication continue to inspire us all as we move ahead, knowing that we are forever united by the experiences we've shared and the values we hold dear.

What a joyous and momentous occasion it was as we gathered at St Patrick's Catholic Primary School hall to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our Year 2 students at their special GRADUATION assembly. The beaming smiles and the sparkle in their eyes were truly heartwarming as they proudly received their well-deserved certificates.
The assembly hall echoed with the sweet melodies of songs that our talented Year 2 students had lovingly prepared for their beloved parents and guardians. Each note carried with it a sense of accomplishment and gratitude, a testament to the nurturing environment provided by both home and school.
To all the parents and guardians who graced this unforgettable celebration with your presence, we extend our deepest appreciation and thanks. Your unwavering support and dedication to your children's education have been the bedrock of their growth and success. We recognise the countless hours spent nurturing their talents, guiding their studies, and instilling in them the values that shape their characters.
As our Year 2 students prepare to step into a new chapter of their academic journey, venturing into Years 3, we couldn't be prouder of the strong foundation they have built during their time here. They are well-prepared to embrace new challenges, explore their potential, and soar to greater heights.
Once again, thank you for being an integral part of this joyous celebration and for being the guiding light in the journey of our Year 2 students. Together, let us nurture and empower these young minds, as they are the future leaders and change-makers of tomorrow.
After the heartwarming assembly, all were invited to a small party in our Peace garden, where laughter, joy, and cherished memories continued to blossom.

Thank you from the school to our amazing FOSPA
Our Friends of St Patrickโs Association (FOSPA) has offered us all a truly outstanding year. Having only restarted a few months ago after a few years of COVID restrictions, the members of FOSPA have brought back the spirit of the community to St Patrickโs.
Our parents and former pupils have worked collaboratively, tirelessly and creatively to offer a range of fantastic events which have not only brought additional funding which FOSPA will invest into improving the schoolโs offer to our children but also lots of joy and excitement.
We wish to say a big thank you to these wonderful people who so generously have offered their time to support the school. Without them, it would be impossible to bring the community together so many times in such wonderful ways.
Message from FOSPA:
Thank you to everyone who helped make our FOSPA a successful year. We will be back with bigger plans for raising money in the new school year! We will be looking for volunteers to help arrange and run the Christmas disco, and the summer fete (forward planning!) as well as a few other smaller events.

Do you remember our Art Exhibition in March?
It was a fantastic showcase of creativity and talent! We're excited to share that during this past year, the pupils in year 4 at Primary School learned a variety of new skills, including sewing.
As part of their art lessons, they proudly made beautiful pillows that were featured in the exhibition. We were truly impressed by their craftsmanship and artistic flair.
It's incredible to see how much they've grown and developed as young artists. We can't wait to show you the process on how they made their incredible creations! Photos below. ๐๐๐

Peter from Safari Pete, who is a wildlife adventurer and conservationist and very experienced in AMAZING animal handling visited St Patrick's Catholic Primary School giving the children in year 1, and year 2 an incredible chance to learn about wildlife in a visual way that inspire children to care about wildlife, humans as well as the planet. It was an amazing show and there was an opportunity to touch or hold the Wild animals.
Animal Workshop: experienced an AMAZING animal handling workshop from Safari Pete who is a wildlife adventurer and
conservationist.
The children were able to handle the animals and experience first-hand how the animals moved and survived in the wild.
They learnt so much, including:
๐The countries they came from
๐The habitats and environments that were best suited to them
๐The animal group they belonged to
๐What they ate (whether they were herbivores, carnivores or omnivores)
๐Their unique qualities and how they adapt in the wild
There was so many animal friends for them to meet as well, including: Lady Gaga the tarantula ๐ท, two bearded lizards ๐ฆ,
Tallulah the meerkat, Juliet the barn owl, tree frog ๐ธ, snake ๐, a teebee lizard โ and even a crocodile ๐called Daisy! What a day!

It was lovely to have Peter at St Patrick's Catholic Primary School.
You can read more about his inspiration to work with animals:
Iโm constantly inspired by both the animals and the humans that I work with. I love my little family of animals who travel with me to shows, and Iโm very lucky to spend so much time in the wild enjoying nature. Iโm constantly working to make sure that all animals are safe and think that education is the key to making sure that people arenโt afraid of animals and donโt harm them.
Iโm so lucky to work with amazing people. Iโm constantly inspired by the children I work with, their wonder, and their enthusiasm โ I hope that teaching them about animals means that we have more hope for the future. On my travels, Iโve also made some amazing friends who make these projects possible โ including Mark Amey of Ameyzoo whoโs a special friend that helps me source some of the rescue animals I work with. Iโve also made some incredible friends in Uganda and other countries, and look forward to making more.
