For World Ocean Day, we brought the ocean to life right here at Happy Orkids with our very own home-grown sea adventure.

The children had a wonderful time rowing their boats, going fishing, and exploring their imagination as they sailed across our nursery “ocean”. Along the way, we chatted about the different types of fish we might spot, as well as other sea creatures that live beneath the waves.

It’s been a lovely way to spark curiosity about the world around us while encouraging role play, communication, and teamwork. 🌊

At Happy Orkids, creativity and curiosity go hand in hand. Recently, our little learners have been busy creating their very own coral reefs using colourful pasta and playdough.

As they shaped and explored their underwater worlds, we chatted about the different fish that might hide amongst the coral, sparking their imagination and encouraging storytelling. Activities like this not only support fine motor skills but also help children learn about the natural world in a fun and hands-on way.
