Coombe Sixth Form A large, highly successful Sixth Form based across two campuses. 'Coombe Sixth Form is a great community: vibrant, high achieving and happy.

Our students achieve academically, flourish socially and are prepared for a world of opportunity. Our sixth formers are involved in a myriad of opportunities in and out of school, taking on new challenges only available to older students. Our results are very impressive and are testament to the hard work and commitment of both our students and staff.'

It's been fantastic to see our Year 11s across the Coombe federation enjoying Coombe Sixth Form's Taster Day! With over 30 subjects to sample, our students have attended a number of taster sessions as they prepare their pathways into Year 12. Thank you to all our staff who have facilitated these brilliant sample sessions!

Dr Koursarou: 🗣️"Year 13 Chemistry students visited Kingston University last week to take part in an afternoon of practical work in the university's undergraduate laboratories. Students worked with great care and precision to complete the organic synthesis of aspirin using a range of equipment and techniques. The work was closely monitored by their chemistry teachers and the university's own staff as the work links in directly with their final practical endorsement grade. Students also had the opportunity to test the purity of the compound made using the university's infrared (IR) spectrometer - a piece of analytical equipment not available in schools. All students successfully made a sample of aspirin - great work from all and excellent practical skills to record for this practical assessment."

We're so excited for Lily who travels to the US, on a part sport scholarship to study Psychology at the University of Hawaii. This follows a hugely successful 2025/6 UK athletics season and, of course, a fantastic finish at Coombe!
