Did you know as little as 10 or 15 minutes of playing outdoors can support physical and mental development?
At all of our Spring Nurseries, we have a large focus on outdoor play. We do this through using our outdoor spaces to explore, create and investigate and also through our Forest Schools. We like to keep children active and exploring the natural environment around them.
To find out more about the benefits of playing outdoors visit the Parent Talk website here https://parents.actionforchildren.org.uk/home-family-life/healthy-living/playing-outside/
Understanding what 'healthy' levels of screen time are, by age, can be difficult to navigate, especially in our increasingly digital world.

We hope you all had a lovely Easter!
It's lovely to welcome you all back and hear what you got up to.
Your child's journey to school starts at home.
We understand that all children develop at their own pace, and that we’re all learning from birth. When it’s time to start school, some children will need more help than others.
There are key skills that schools expect children to be learning before their first day. Practising these will make your child’s journey to Reception as positive as possible.
If your child is already at nursery, in pre-school, or with a childminder, those professionals will work with you and your child to help get them ready.
There’s lots you can do at home to build your child’s confidence and independence, helping them feel emotionally and practically prepared to start school.
Read the full guide here https://startingreception.co.uk/
We also have advice on our Parent Talk website here https://parents.actionforchildren.org.uk/school-life/school-behaviour-wellbeing/how-do-i-prepare-for-my-child-starting-school/
Every child sees the world in their own unique way. This Autism Awareness Day, we celebrate neurodiversity and embrace the strengths, creativity and individuality of autistic children. Diversity is our strength.
