Set in Buffalo in 2010, Cadillac High is a dark comedy that sheds light on the devastating opioid epidemic that has plagued America for years. Specifically, the play explores how the painkiller Oxycontin was merchandised to doctors via sales representatives, only to be prescribed by physicians in surgeries. While all the characters in this recording are fictitious, the story is all too real and highlights the harrowing reality of how this drug was produced, marketed, and sold to the public.
With a talented international cast, the performance was recorded live online and carefully edited, adapted, and produced for audio broadcast by Rebcat Creations. As you listen to the narrative unfold, you'll be transported to Buffalo and become immersed in the lives of the characters as they navigate their way through the complexities of addiction and the pharmaceutical industry.
