After welcoming families throughout August, we’re so excited to be opening our gates for regular Friday Play & Stay sessions from September! 🤎

If you’re in Romford, Chigwell, Hainault, Loughton or the surrounding areas, and you’ve been looking for somewhere a little different to spend your Friday mornings — come and find us. 👀

A place where children of different ages can play, explore, get muddy, create and connect with nature… while parents can slow down, meet other local families and become part of a growing community. 🌳

Before families ever stepped into Green Family Oasis, there was a LOT of work happening behind the scenes. 🌿💪

Nettles, brambles, blackberries and all sorts of spiky growth had taken over parts of the space — so many wheelbarrow loads had to be cleared to make it safer and more welcoming for children and families.

So much of the work that goes into creating an outdoor space like this is invisible once everything is ready.

But looking back at these videos now makes me realise just how much went into creating the space you see today. 🥹🌱

Every cleared patch, every little improvement, every wheelbarrow load… all with one goal — to create a place where children and families can enjoy being outdoors together. 🤎

Our latest park walk turned into a little mud kitchen treasure hunt 🌿🤎

Leaves, sticks, conkers, acorns, seed pods and other natural treasures are perfect for adding to the mud kitchen and letting little imaginations take over. 🪵🍂✨

A little reminder when collecting:
🌿 Only collect what you can confidently identify as safe.
🍁 Take a small amount rather than stripping plants or trees.
🐛 Check for insects and unwanted visitors before bringing anything home.
🌱 Avoid protected plants, fungi and anything you’re unsure about.
🏡 And whenever possible, collect from the ground rather than picking from living plants.

The best ingredients are often the ones nature has already let go of. 🤎

Goodbye, summer fun sessions… and hello to what’s next! 🌿

I’m so excited to finally share that Green Family Oasis | Nature Play & Learning × Natalia are teaming up! 🤍

From Friday 4th September, we’ll be opening the Oasis every Friday for our new Outdoor Play & Stay sessions, 10:30am–1pm.

We’re creating a regular space where children can play, explore, create, learn and connect outdoors, while families meet like-minded people, build friendships and grow a little community together. 🌱

For our homeschooling families, Fridays will bring hands-on outdoor learning — growing and caring for food, nature exploration, creative projects, fire cooking and practical skills. Learning by doing, experiencing and being part of it.

And for our little explorers, this is a space to play, discover and learn alongside children of different ages — a little village where everyone can connect and belong. 🤎

As we move into autumn, we’ll be stepping into forest magic 🍂 with nature crafts, fire circles, cooking, practical outdoor skills and plenty of muddy adventures — whatever the weather!

Our Friday sessions will run from 4th September to 11th December, with block booking discounts available for families joining us regularly.

🌿 Family Sundays are coming!

Once a month, we’ll open the Oasis on a Sunday for the whole family to enjoy together, with special guests bringing specially curated experiences.

Our first one will be Sunday 27th September — details coming soon, but mark the date! 📅

And for our families whose children are heading back to school, we’d love to keep the connection going through our Family Sundays. 🤍
