🚨 Are we solving the wrong problem?

As the debate around children, screens and schools intensifies, the answer cannot simply be: remove the technology and go back to paper.

A bored student with a laptop is still bored.

A bored student with a textbook is still bored.

The real question isn’t screen vs paper.

It’s passive consumption vs purposeful learning.

Our children are growing up in a world of AI, automation, global collaboration and technologies we haven’t even imagined yet. Preparing them for that future does not mean giving them unlimited screen time. But it doesn’t mean hiding technology from them either.

It means teaching them when to use technology, why to use it, how to question it, and when to put it away.

📚 Books matter.
✍️ Handwriting matters.
🧠 Deep thinking matters.
🤝 Human interaction matters.
💻 Digital literacy matters.
🤖 AI literacy matters.

Great education doesn’t choose between them.

Great education knows when to use each one.

The screen isn’t the problem.

Bad learning is.

The future isn’t SCREEN FREE.

It’s SCREEN SMART.

RESULTS DAY 2026 | Celebrating our iBOS iGCSE Results!
 
Today we are celebrating the achievements, progress and determination of our iBOS Class of 2026. 
 
We are incredibly proud to share some of our students’ June 2026 iGCSE results, including outstanding Grades 9, 8 and 7 - but we are equally proud to celebrate the Grade 5 achievements you will see in these posts.
 
Why? Because a grade never tells the whole story.
 
Many of our students joined iBOS as EAL learners, speaking little or no English. They have had to learn a new language while simultaneously accessing the British curriculum, studying their subjects and preparing for internationally recognised examinations. To see how far they have progressed - and to see them achieving iGCSE success - makes these results particularly special to us. 
 
A Grade 5 in English, Mathematics, Business or another iGCSE subject can represent an extraordinary personal achievement, just as a Grade 9 represents outstanding academic attainment. At iBOS, we believe both deserve recognition.
 
This year’s results include exceptional achievements across Mathematics, English, Science, Computer Science, Business and more, and every result reflects hours of hard work, resilience and commitment from our students, teachers and families.
 
Today is about more than grades. It is about progress, perseverance and potential.
