What is the Funded Early Education Entitlement (FEEE)?
FEEE is funding provided by the UK Government for all eligible children because they want children to have a good nursery education so that they have the best start in life.
• From September 2024, Nine-month-old children of eligible working parents can get funded entitlement hours the term after they turn 9 months old. Children will get up to 570 funded entitlement hours over the year. This is for 15 hours per week for 38 weeks if parents meet the eligibility criteria.
• From April 2024, two-year-old children of eligible working parents can get funded entitlement hours the term after they turn two. Children will get up to 570 funded entitlement hours over the year. This is for 15 hours per week for 38 weeks if the parents meet the eligibility criteria.
• Some two-year-olds can get funded hours if their parents are on certain benefits, economic criteria or the child meets certain non-economic criteria. Children will get up to 570 funded entitlement hours over the year. This is for 15 hours per week for 38 weeks if the parents meet the eligibility criteria.
• All three- and four-year-olds can get funded entitlement hours from the term after they turn three up until they go to school, this is called the universal funded entitlement. Children will get up to 570 funded entitlement hours over the year. This is for 15 hours per week for 38 weeks.
• Three- and four-year-olds of eligible working parents can get the extended funded entitlement, which is another 15 hours in addition to the universal 15 funded hours, this is often called the "30-hour offer". This is because children can have up to 30 hours a week for 38 weeks which is a total of 1140 hours of funded entitlement a year.
• The 38 weeks (or 570 hours) start at the beginning of April and finish at the end of March in the following year and are divided into three terms in line with school terms.
The terms are as follows:
• Summer term - April to July
• Autumn term — September to December
• Spring term - January to March

Free early education and childcare for 2-year-olds (FEET) : Families receiving additional government support (15 hours)

In Merton, some children are entitled to up to 15 hours a week of free part-time early education and childcare at the age of two. This adds up to 570 hours a year spent playing, learning and make friends in a stimulating, safe environment.
Enjoying good quality early education has been found to give children a good start in life, making them more likely to enjoy and do well at school. They can:

Develop their speech and language
Make friends and play with other children
Try out new and exciting activities
Learn new skills
Find out if you are eligible

🎄🌲🎊As we approach the holiday season , we want to gauge interest in providing childcare for our preschoolers on December 23rd (open from 8.00-18.00) and 24th (open from 8.00-13.00) .
We are encouraging parents to let us know as soon as possible if you would like to reserve a place for your child at
We would like our team to have those two days off (23rd and 24th December) however if your usual session falls on either of these two days , we will be happy to offer you an extra day of care in the week commencing 16th-20th December.🎄🌲 🎊

⭐️⭐️Since April, eligible working parents of 2-year-olds have been able to access 15 hours of childcare support as part of the expansion of childcare in England ⭐️⭐️

This comes on top of the pre-existing offer for eligible working parents of 3- and 4-year-olds, who can access 30 hours of government-funded childcare by combining the universal 15 hours, which is available to all families, with a further 15-hour entitlement for working parents.

From September 2024, 15 hours of childcare support will be extended to eligible working parents with a child from age 9-months-old. Applications are now open -Visit childcarechoices.gov.uk for further information.
We recommend that everyone who is seeking a childcare place for September 2024.

It’s important to remember that codes need to be renewed every three months. To do this, you’ll need to remember to login to your childcare account to check when your reconfirmation dates are, so that you can renew your code on time. If you don’t renew it on time, you will need to reapply.

You can claim your place the term after your child turns the relevant age.

How do I apply?

You apply online here on gov.uk once you have checked our eligibility criteria.

You’ll need to make sure you have the following information to hand before starting the application:

your national insurance number (or unique taxpayer reference if you are self-employed)
the date you started or are due to start work
details of any government support or benefits you receive
the UK birth certificate reference number (if you have one) for your child.
You may find out if you’re eligible straight away, but it can take up to 7 days.
