Have you ever experienced the feeling of overwhelm as a Business Owner.

As Business Owners, managing a business can be frustrating and overwhelming as it’s so easy to get bogged down with the day to day and to stray from what you are trying to achieve.

So here are a few tips to keep you on track and hopefully avoid overwhelm in your business:

HAVE A VISION

A successful business must have a vision, and knowing how to achieve that vision is crucial. Without a vision, business owners are likely to lose focus of what they are trying to accomplish and how to accomplish it.

STAY IN YOUR LANE

Many business owners offer a particular service but stray into other services that distract from their speciality. Focus on what you do well and stay in your lane. Avoid offering services that draw you away from your true zone of genius.

DELEGATE

It is impossible for owners to do everything that is required to run a business. We must do what is necessary as owners and delegate the rest. If you do not have someone to delegate to or do not trust someone to complete the tasks, perhaps you need to think about outsourcing.

INVEST IN YOURSELF!

As business owners, we represent our companies and honing those skills is essential. We must make certain that we know the best way to market and sell our services. Investing in coaching or education to learn how to succeed in your business is so important.

NETWORK

It is difficult to run a business without help from others. Networking is the most important way to market a business and create relationships in your community. Networking allows others to help you and establishes your credibility, plus it helps you to socialise if you are working alone.

Focus, Focus, Focus!

Could you follow these simple steps to gain one of your best referral team members a great referral this week?

1. Identify ONE person you would love to gain a referral for this week.
2. Look at your calendar. See where you will be this week and who you will be in front of. Set a goal of how many times you can bring them up in conversation.
3. Have your “conversation starter” ready to go for that person all week, and do it! Notice your results, are people intrigued, indifferent, or even turned off.
4. Go back to the person and share your results as you have each conversation and ask “what could I have done better”. This will gain you a higher skill level in referring that person on a regular basis.
5. See how many referrals you can generate when you are focused on one person all week long!

Jennifer Henderson and Phil Burton ran an absolutely brilliant "Room Full of Referral" workshop yesterday for around 35 delegates focusing on our own behaviour styles and the behaviour styles of others.

An absolute eye opener for some of our attendees and a fantastic opportunity for them to be able to adapt their networking and how they react to people through it.

We will be running the workshop again at the end of September and in November too, so do keep your eyes peeled for dates as it was such a huge value add for those on the call yesterday!

This lot looked like they could be auditioning to be Britain’s next Boy Band last night as our first “in person” social since lock down started.

Lovely to see our coaching clients face to face and to enjoy a meal together!
