🎸We had such a fantastic evening of music in our Summer Concert last night! 🎶
Our performers shone on stage once again and the audience clapped for them, sang with them and cheered loudly and enthusiastically!! A massive well done to everyone, from our young Reception singers to the experienced Year 10 bands _ you did our school community proud👏

Our Year 4s did a fantastic trumpet demonstration today for their parents and carers and also for the year 3 class! We look forward to seeing the progress of some of our young trumpet players in years to come. Primary were also treated to a wonderful performance by the secondary jazz band and our two amazing solos by our Year 8 trumpet players!

Yesterday, we held our 2026 Sports Day at Ladywell Arena, and what a fantastic day it was! 🏆

Every single child took part in at least one activity, showcasing incredible team spirit and determination. From the high-energy sprints and high jumping to the shot putt and the crowd-favorite tug-of-war, the energy was unmatched.

It’s safe to say much fun was had by all—including the teachers, who couldn't resist getting involved in the action! 🏃‍♂️💨

🥾 Huge congratulations to our Year 10 students!

Last weekend, they successfully completed their qualifying Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition. Throughout the trek, they demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience, and determination.

Despite a few challenges along the way, they supported one another, stayed focused on their navigation and campcraft, and pushed through to reach their goal. Well done to everyone involved for a fantastic achievement! We are incredibly proud of you all. 🌟

📊 Year 6 became data analysts this week! 🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♀️

Our young mathematicians took charge of their own investigations, exploring everything from favorite ice cream flavors to preferred school subjects. 🍦📚

The children followed the entire data lifecycle:
1️⃣ Deciding on their research question ❓
2️⃣ Surveying the year group and recording findings using tally charts 📝
3️⃣ Transforming their data into clear bar graphs 📈

Finally, they put on their analyst hats to interpret the results and make reasoned statements about their collections. It was a fantastic, hands-on way to develop essential data handling and reasoning skills.

We really look forward to our choir visiting the local care home Alexander Care Centre. This visit is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their musical talents with the local community while bringing enjoyment and companionship to care home residents. It also helps students develop confidence, empathy, and a sense of community engagement.

What an incredible evening! 🎶✨

We were honored to host the 2nd ever Federation Celebration of Music, welcoming the phenomenal talent from our sister schools, Prendergast School and Prendergast Ladywell School.

While the performances on stage were absolutely breathtaking, what moved us most was the atmosphere in the room. The genuine support and enthusiasm our students showed for one another truly captured the spirit of our community. 👏❤️
