Congratulations to the Wetherby Senior School Class of 2026 on their outstanding GCSE results! 🎉 These achievements highlight the dedication of our students, the skill of our teachers, and the support from our community. We look forward to seeing your ongoing success and growth.
As Mr Robert Garvey stated,
"We are hugely proud of our GCSE cohort this year; they worked extremely hard and their diligence and endeavour has paid off handsomely. More than 20% of the grades awarded were the highest grade of 9, with 43% being 9-8s and 62% 9-7 grades. Thanks to the tremendous endeavour and partnership between staff and pupils, Wetherby Senior is in the top 7% of schools nationally for the value added by its teaching – very many congratulations to pupils and staff alike.
Alongside these broad headlines, we can see that one fifth of the year group attained 7-9s in at least 9 subjects, 11% of them got 8-9 in all their subjects and 4 of them got at least 7x9 grades, with particular kudos to two pupils who each attained 9x9 grades.
We are also be very proud of the Year 10s who took some GCSEs early. Every one of the 17 early entries across Maths, French, German and Spanish was graded as a 9 a year early, which is fabulous, and we also celebrate a number of pupils who took additional self-taught GCSEs in other disciplines too, all scoring at least a 7 in them.
Many congratulations to all our GCSE students this year."

Congratulations to the Wetherby Senior School Class of 2026 on their exceptional A Level results! 🎉 These achievements reflect our students' ambition, our teachers' expertise, and the support of our entire school community. We look forward to celebrating your continued success as you step confidently into your future! 🌟
As Mr Robert Garvey reflected,
" I am delighted to share with you the excellent outcomes of our Year 13s today. They worked consistently throughout their courses, took the advice of their teachers and stuck with us to the end; all that hard work has really paid off. Whilst those individual performances are exceptional, I also want to celebrate all those who outperformed predications or baseline expectations as determined by their GCSEs. On that metric, the cohort has done markedly better than any of their predecessors, with 36% of the outcomes exceeding those expectations. We are hugely proud of each and every one of them."

Last night was such a special and emotional evening as we gathered to celebrate our Year 13 leavers.
Seeing our boys together with their teachers, families and friends, sharing laughter, memories and final moments, was truly unforgettable. It felt like the end of a chapter that means so much to all of us.
To our Year 13s, we are incredibly proud of the young men you have become. Watching you grow during your time at Wetherby has been a privilege, and saying goodbye is never easy. You will always have a place here with us
