Does a lash lift damage the eyelashes?

The answer is yes… if certain important principles are not respected.

Here are three essential points to protect your natural lashes.

1️⃣ Not respecting the natural lash cycle

Eyelashes follow a natural growth cycle, just like the hair on our head.

There are three phases:

• Anagen – the growth phase
• Catagen – the transition phase
• Telogen – the resting phase before the lash naturally sheds

For this reason, it is very important to respect the natural lash cycle and avoid repeating a lash lift too soon.

2️⃣ Using low-quality products

Not all products are created equal.

Poor-quality products, or products used incorrectly, can weaken the lashes.

This is why it is important to choose a salon that uses professional, high-quality products specifically designed for natural lashes.

3️⃣ Not choosing a qualified specialist

A trained specialist knows how to:

• analyse the type and condition of the lashes
• select the appropriate shield size
• respect the correct processing time
• recommend suitable aftercare products

A professional will also know when to say no if the lashes are not ready for another treatment.

For this reason, most specialists recommend waiting at least 4 to 6 weeks between lash lift treatments.

When these three elements are respected,
a lash lift does not damage the eyelashes.

On the contrary, it simply enhances the natural lashes and beautifully opens the eyes.

4. ✅ If no reaction: you’re safe to proceed
5. ❌ If there’s redness, itching or swelling: cancel or adapt

📋 And make it official:
Record every test in the client file: date, products used, and any reaction.
