I was lucky to have been invited by Jonny of Inspire Fitness London to teach on a retreat at Jamaica Inn back in September. Amie from InStyle UK came too and wrote some really nice things about us! Warning: contains gratuitous beach sunset pics. Until next year...

Superfood or super marketing?
We are all looking for the answer to perfect health, and we are often convinced that it lies in a newly discovered ancient food that has been eaten by an exotic tribe for centuries. "Movement is about enriching the human experience. It’s about navigating the world around you and bonding with others in the process. You may not care about chiseled abs or gains, but you owe it to yourself to move."
Finally I'm back to moving (more or less) and teaching after coming off worse for wear in the bike-vs-car battle.
SEE YOU. xx

More wise thoughts from Jenni Rawlings Yoga on the nature of movement. Anyone who knows me will know I'm a big fan of many kinds of functional, dynamic movement - yoga, weight training, walking, running, swimming (in oceans if I can get 'em, obviously) - and I think they are ALL important for a happy, healthy body. What's important is that we push, pull, float, jump, swing, fly, stretch and BREATHE.
Is stretching the solution to our cultural epidemic of insufficient movement or is MOVEMENT the solution? I was really inspired by this insightful question that Jules Mitchell posed to us when I took her Science of Stretching seminar for the second time a couple of months ago.
In the yoga world we sometimes like to think of stretching as the go-to solution for all of our body's needs. Have you noticed that too? ("My hip hurts, so I'm going to stretch it in pigeon pose. My shoulder feels tweaky today, so I'll make sure to do some 'shoulder openers'", etc., etc.)
But is it really that simple? What exactly does stretching offer us and how does it relate to the broader concept of *movement*? Just some interesting thoughts to chew on as you contemplate how you might move your body today. :)
