A massive congratulations to Pete Murray on passing his 1st Dan Black Belt grading on Sunday! 🥋

Pete has been a tremendous help to SPK over the years. As an Assistant Instructor, our trusty handyman and someone who always brings a smile to classes, he has become a huge part of the club.

All the hard work and effort Pete put into preparing really showed throughout the grading. He pushed himself from start to finish and showed exactly why he deserved to earn his Black Belt. We’re incredibly proud to see all that work pay off and to have Pete representing SPK as a Black Belt.

A thoroughly deserved achievement. Congratulations, Pete!! 💜

Here’s a photo of Tim with his 4th Degree Black Belt! A massive congratulations once again on an incredible achievement. All the hard work and dedication have truly paid off, it’s thoroughly deserved.

Also this Sunday (9th August), Pete Murray will be testing for his 1st Degree Black Belt! 🥊

Today we want to say a massive congratulations to our Lead Instructor, Tim Wise, on officially achieving his 4th Dan Black Belt! 🥋💜

After months of waiting for the official decision due to delays outside of his control it’s fantastic to finally celebrate an achievement that has been thoroughly deserved from the very beginning.

Anyone who knows Tim knows just how much time, energy and passion he has invested into Suckerpunch Kickboxing over the years, and martial arts as a whole. He has helped shape the club into what it is today, and has supported countless students on their own martial arts journeys. His commitment to our members and to the growth of the club is something we are incredibly grateful for.

A 4th Dan is a significant milestone, but it also represents years of dedication, perseverance and helping others grow. We couldn’t think of anyone more deserving.

Congratulations Tim! Thank you for everything you do for Suckerpunch Kickboxing. We’re all incredibly proud of you!! 🐙🥊

Thank you to Derek.

Derek Brooking was the guy that encouraged me to go for funding when I first started the club. He helped make sure that we had the right place to put forward my ideas. We now have a club that is safer and more inclusive because of his initial belief in what we were doing.

The club continues to go from strength to strength and help more people access high quality martial arts in a safe and welcoming environment.
We now have Samaritans trained people at the club to help anyone who needs it.
We have funding to help underprivileged individuals access training.
We reinvest in local people to gain qualifications and skills to aid in their lives.
We throw parties, bbqs and days out for all members and their families.

This all started with me and chat with Derek.

Wednesday class will be at South Milton Sands. The national trust car park end.

*Starting at 6pm Wednesday*

We will do training on the beach and if people want to, at their own risk, take to the water.

Some people like to take a barbecue or a pack up and have tea by the beach. It’s completely up to you.

Please be aware that while we dynamically risk, we can’t be held liable for anything that lies underneath or on top of the sand or in the water.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

We are off to the beach again.
Instead of Wednesday and Thursday classes at the unit. We will once again combine our schedules into one.

WEDNESDAY 6PM @ SOUTH MILTON SANDS

(the beach with a great big rock that has a hole in it, apologies remember I’m a midlander and not local 😁).

We will meet opposite the National Trust Car Park.

If anyone would like to have a barbecue after the session and a quick dip in the sea, please remember it would be at your own risk. We do not have anyone lifeguard trained.

Lastly; whilst we dynamically risk assess situations we cannot be held responsible for anything on or under the sand that can’t reasonably be seen. Every effort will be made to make the Training area as safe as practicably possible.
