Our annual Christmas Lights Switch On
Sat 20th November 🎅

🌟🎅🌟 It's competition time 🌟🎅🌟

We will be holding a lantern making workshop upstairs in the main hall of Lockerbie Townhall.

Please feel free to bring your children along to create something special. This is open to all ages.

After, there will be our annual lantern parade in the high street. Please see times below and good luck.

Lantern making 1-3.45pm upstairs in the main hall.

Judging of the lanterns around 4pm.

Lantern parade to follow once the lights are switched on at 5pm.

Urgent message for parents:

As you know, Lockerbie Academy and Lockerbie Primary buildings are operated by Amey.

Amey have informed us that an issue with the fire alarm system has been triggered this evening. Engineers and the Fire and Rescue Service have been in attendance at the school trying to identify the issue and resolve it. However, the issue is a complex one and could not be sorted and no timescale can be confirmed at this stage.

Therefore, the unfortunate decision has been taken that Lockerbie Academy and Lockerbie Primary School buildings cannot be opened to all pupils and staff tomorrow. The buildings must remain closed until the issue can be resolved.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will create for our families, but we have tried to give you as much notice to allow you to make alternative arrangements, as necessary.

All our sections are now online until restrictions lift. Risk assessments are in place for all levels of restrictions. Please do feel free to join in- children have really good fun interacting with each other whilst engaging in fun activities

Nursery Enrolment 2021/22

Our nursery offers 1140 hours to pupils on a term time only basis.

Hours are available between 8.30am to 3.30pm up to a maximum of 30 hours per week - for example 9am to 3pm x 5 days per week.

Year 1 Nursery Registrations

Due to COVID-19, registration this year will not take place at the provider’s service. Parents will receive a letter and registration form in the post for their 3-year-old. Parents are asked to complete the registration form and return to their preferred provider enclosing a copy of their child’s birth certificate and proof of address by 5th February.

Year 2 Nursery Registrations

In due course we will send ELC2 registration forms to our current Year 1 pupils to apply for their next year at nursery.
