🔨🪚 Woodwork in the Early Years 🌳🐝

There’s so much more to woodwork than simply making something! Our children have been developing a fantastic range of skills through hands-on experiences with real tools. 🧡

Our younger children have been busy learning about hammer, screwdriver and saw safety, developing their confidence, coordination and understanding of how to use tools safely. Our older children have been taking their learning a step further by being introduced to the drill, learning how it works and practising safe, responsible use under close adult supervision. 🔧

Some of the girls completed their 12 hour paediatric first aid this morning with the wonderful Louise from DG Training. At jaybees we pride ourselves in all our staff being trained and continue to be proud recipients of Millie's Trust ensuring nursery is a safe place for your little ones to be 💜

Over the course of the week we have all had a lovely time visiting Mr Rankine’s open garden in support of Maggie’s, cancer research Uk and Scotlands Garden scheme. Surrounded by the most beautiful flowers, scenery and wildlife the children used their scenes to take in the wonderful world around them 🌺 🐝 🦋 🦢 🌷 🪱 🐛

Babies’ first adventure on the Bee Bus! 🐝💛

What an exciting morning we had exploring Castledykes! We visited the Sunken Garden, admired the beautiful flowers, spotted the Robert the Bruce statue, enjoyed some fun at the park, and finished with a picnic lunch. 🌸🌳🛝🥪

After such a busy, fun-filled morning, we had some very sleepy babies on the journey home! 😴💛
