We’re offering significant discounts on Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre residential visits for 2027/28 and 2028/29.

We know family budgets are under pressure. As a charity, we want to help as many children and young people as we can experience the adventure, learning and happy moments of an Ardroy residential.

We're Hiring! Advertising for an Administrator Post, full time and permanent. Full details at www.ardroy-oec.co.uk/vacancies.asp . Closing date 10th August.

We need someone to provide administration for all areas of Ardroy's operation including managing the bookings, invoicing, and keeping things running smoothly. It's a diverse role that would suit someone who is able to communicate well and think on their feet.

The ability to climb Jacob's Ladder is not essential!

Happy Birthday to John Endeacott, the first Warden of Ardroy, he's 91 today!

John was here when we opened in 1969 and was Warden until the late 1980's. We frequently bump into folk of a certain age who remember him fondly.

And something special... a while ago we were sent some cine footage taken at Ardroy in the early 1970's and we've edited it down to show John and other folk in it. John's in a yellow polo shirt for most it. A lot has changed!

There's no sound, but do you recognise anyone else in the footage, better still are you in it?!

The film was mainly recorded by John Hunter, a woodwork teacher from Woodmill HS, who was also a keen photographer. John Hunter sadly died a few years ago, but his son Charles digitised the cine footage and kindly sent it to us, there's also a small excerpt from Auchmuty HS, cicrca 1971.

The photo of John was taken in 2019, when he was guest of honour at our 50th anniversary celebration in Pittencrieff Park.

Stage 2 of the 'It's the little things' staff bedroom improvements complete!

We took advantage of a quiet weekend, and some volunteers have painted, wallpapered and upgraded the two staff bedrooms in the Main House.

Looking good! Teachers put a huge effort into bringing their children to a residential, so hopefully this helps in a small way.
