It was so nice to bring together students from all my Spanish classes for an evening of good food, Spanish conversation and lots of laughs!

It was lovely seeing everyone meet, mingle and enjoy themselves outside of our usual classes. 🥰

🎬🇪🇸 A new way to enjoy Spanish together!

I’ve recently introduced something new to my Spanish lessons: Spanish Film Nights! 🍿❤️

For our first one, we watched the wonderful Argentinian film “El secreto de sus ojos”, directed by Juan José Campanella.

It was such a lovely evening, watching a great film, listening to Spanish and having the chance to chat and share our thoughts afterwards.

I’m really enjoying this new addition to our lessons, and I think my students are too! 😊

Nothing beats learning Spanish in the sunshine with great company. ☀️🇪🇸

These sessions are always a highlight of my week, and it’s wonderful to see my students becoming more confident with every lesson as they prepare for their next adventure in Spain.

Lots of laughs, plenty of Spanish, and the excitement for the trip is definitely starting to build.

Hi everyone! I’m getting everything ready for our new Spanish term starting next week, and I’d love to welcome a few more of you to our friendly groups.

If you’ve always fancied learning a bit of Spanish for your travels, or just want a fun new hobby, these classes are designed for absolute beginners. There is no stress and absolutely no pressure, just a warm, relaxed space to build your confidence and meet some lovely local people.

I will be running groups across Oswestry, Welshpool, Newtown, and Montgomery.
Here are the details for the two courses available:

1. Spanish for Holidays ✈️ 🌞🍷
This is a lovely introduction to the language, focusing on the essential building blocks you need for a fantastic trip. We will cover: Pronunciation, greetings and introductions, family and friends, and likes and dislikes.

📍Mondays 6PM (Starts 1st June) • Morrisons Community Room, Oswestry
📍Tuesdays 5PM (Starts 26th May)• The Raven Inn, Welshpool

2. Conversational Spanish (La Tertulia) 🗣️
Inspired by the Spanish tradition of a “Tertulia”, a relaxed social gathering to chat about life, this group is for solo learners or those with a bit of experience who want to practice speaking. We will cover the essential grammar you need, but wrap it into real, everyday conversations about food, culture, and travel.

📍Tuesdays 10am (Starts 26th May)• Castle Kitchen, Montgomery
📍 Tuesdays 6PM (Starts 26th May)•The Raven Inn, Welshpool
📍Wednesdays 7PM (Starts 27th May)•Hafan Yr Afon, Newtown

Course Details:

Ready to take your first steps towards learning Spanish? Our spring term starts May 26th. Come and join us!

If you have no experience, or perhaps know a couple of useful phrases (“La cuenta, por favor” or “otra copa de vino blanco”😙) join my beginners class and put your Spanish skills into practice while meeting wonderful people.

I will be running groups in Oswestry, Welshpool, Montgomery and Newtown. The duration is 10 weeks (one hour a week) and the course fee is £135 (material included).

Class details, venues and start dates:

📍Group 1: Monday 1st June at Morrisons Community Room, Oswestry (6PM).
📍Group 2: Tuesday 26th May at Castle Kitchen, Montgomery (10AM).
📍Group 3: Tuesday 26th May at The Raven, Welshpool (5PM).
📍Group 4: Tuesday 26th May at The Raven, Welshpool (6PM).
📍Group 5: Wednesday 27th at The Raven, Welshpool (11AM).

About the courses:

- Spanish for Holidays (Group 1 and 3)
These classes are a perfect introduction to get you confident in the basics, and are suitable for learners who have very little or no experience. We will cover pronunciation, greetings and introductions, family and friends, and likes and dislikes.

- Conversational Spanish (Group 2, 4, 5 and 6)
Have you been learning Spanish on your own and fancy having the chance to practice your conversational skills?
Well, this course helps beginners to build their confidence with their speaking skills and improve their vocabulary by exploring topics such as food, culture, the weather, towns and cities, plans and intentions, etc.
