🌾🐑 What a fantastic day at Park Hall Farm! ☀️

From meeting the animals to exploring everything the farm had to offer, our children embraced every moment with smiles, curiosity and enthusiasm.

They asked thoughtful questions, got involved in every activity and represented our school brilliantly throughout the day. Their behaviour was exceptional, and they were an absolute credit to themselves, their families and our school community.

We are so proud of each and every one of them. 💚

🎶✨ What an incredible evening!

We loved performing at the Welshpool High School Summer Concert and were inspired by the amazing music we heard throughout the evening. It was a fantastic opportunity to share the stage with so many talented young musicians.

A huge thank you to the Music Department at Welshpool High School for inviting us and making us feel so welcome. We can't wait to do it again! 💙🎵

💦 Water Safety Awareness 💦

Our children took part in an important Water Safety Talk delivered by The Flash.

The sessions were tailored to each age group and focused on how to stay safe around water, particularly as we approach the summer holidays. Children learnt about the Water Safety Code, including:
🌊 Stop and Think
👫 Stay Together
📞 Call 999 in an emergency
⭐ Float to Live

Our older pupils also learnt about the dangers of cold water shock and discussed the importance of making safe choices around open water.

With the recent tragic incidents involving children across the UK, these are incredibly important life-saving messages. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home over the summer.

A huge thank you to The Flash for taking the time to visit us and help equip our children with the knowledge to stay safe.

Our Upper Junior classes took part in an exciting STEM workshop today delivered by RAF Cosford. Through teamwork, testing and improving prototypes to being a resilient engineer managing resources, the rocket workshop and LEGO Spike Kits proved we have a great growth mindset here at Ysgol Arddleen.

👑 King's Baton Relay 👑

Two of our Sports Ambassadors had an incredible opportunity to take part in the King's Baton Relay at the beautiful Elan Valley, celebrating the baton's journey to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. 🏅

It was a truly inspiring day, made even more special by meeting local Olympian Adele Nicholl. What a fantastic experience and a memory to treasure!

Whatever the weather, there's always an opportunity to learn outdoors – and this week has been no exception! 🌿💚

Our beautiful shaded outdoor spaces and woodland area have been buzzing with creativity and curiosity. From art and science to poetry, humorous story writing and even a round of frisbee golf! 🥏🎨🔬✍️

There's something special about taking learning beyond the classroom, and our pupils have embraced every moment with enthusiasm, imagination and big smiles. What a fantastic week we've had! 🤩🌟🙌🏼

Maths in action! ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Inspired by the World Cup, we collected and analysed data from our very own penalty shootout challenge. ⚽ Our second investigation saw us estimating distances, calculating speeds, and converting our results into miles per hour to discover who might give Usain Bolt a run for his money! 🏃💨

We've loved applying our maths skills in a practical way, working with real data that we collected ourselves. Learning really does come alive when you take it outside! 🌳📚
