As a British Taekwondo club instructor, you lead sessions to help your students grow; see them develop their skills in front of their eyes, and flourish into well-rounded human beings thanks to the Integrity, Self-Control and Respect instilled in them.

But sometimes an instructor’s influence can go even further than what happens in the dojang, it can become a matter of life or death. Just ask Master Paul Jones.

The Llantwit Major and Head of Wales Taekwondo TKD instructor – who achieved his 7th Dan at the UK Kukkiwon Office High Dan Promotion Test last year – has been teaching the Martial Art for over 38 years,

He has nurtured plenty of national and international Champions during that time, but when a student comes back into his class to tell him the self-defence skills he learned saved his life, nothing can quite compare.

We would like to inform everyone that there is a Wales Taekwondo competition in Cardiff this year on May 23rd and 24th.
Due to error outside of our control our date was missed off the competition calendar
BT will be rectifying this asap.
We would like to thank Kickstar (Sai and Donna) for their understanding in this matter and helping resolve it 🙏

I so proud today passing my grading to 7th Dan Blackbelt at the British Taekwondo Dan Grading weekend in Manchester.
This makes me the 1st, 7th Dan
WT Welsh person to achieve this honour.
Absolutely buzzing as it so overdue lol.
It was great to be grading with my good mate Master Craig Wallace , who was my grading partner for 6th Dan in 2014. Also many of my Taekwondo friends doing different grades. Congratulations all.
