🌙✨ I’M TAKING ON THE SHINE NIGHT 10K! ✨🌙
On 25th September, I’ll be taking on the Shine Night Walk in Cardiff — a 10km walk through the city at night, all in support of Cancer Research UK. 💗
Cancer is something that has affected so many of us, whether through our own experiences or those of family and friends. The statistics really bring home just how important research is:
🎗️ More than 403,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year — around 1,100 people every single day.
🎗️ Around 170,000 people die from cancer each year in the UK — more than 460 every day.
🎗️ Nearly 1 in 2 people born in the UK are expected to be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
But there is also hope. 💗 Thanks to decades of research, cancer survival has improved dramatically. Around 1 in 2 people diagnosed with cancer now survive for 10 years or more, compared with around 1 in 4 in the early 1970s. Research really does save lives. (Cancer Research UK)
I’ve been training hard to make sure I’m ready to complete the full 10K. It’s definitely going to be a challenge, but knowing that every step is helping to raise money for such an important cause will keep me going when my legs are telling me to stop! 😂💪
I would absolutely love your support. ❤️
If you’re able to make a donation, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to me and will help Cancer Research UK continue funding vital research, finding new treatments and giving more people the chance to live longer, healthier lives.
🎗️ Every donation really can make a difference. 🎗️
Thank you so much for supporting me and cheering me on! 🥰
10K. One night. One incredible cause. 🌙💗
