Llongyfarchiadau enfawr i Jack Williams ar wneud ei ymddangosiad cyntaf dros dîm dan 16 oed Cymru yn erbyn Gweriniaeth Iwerddon!
Yr hyn sy'n gwneud y gamp hon hyd yn oed yn fwy rhyfeddol yw mai dim ond 14 oed yw Jack! Cafodd Jack effaith wych ar y gêm, gan sgorio gôl a chreu gôl i helpu Cymru i sicrhau buddugoliaeth o 3-0! Rydym yn hynod falch o Jack a phopeth y mae wedi'i gyflawni. Mae ei waith caled, ei ymroddiad a'i ymrwymiad yn talu a mae hyn yn wobr wych am ei holl ymdrechion.
Dal ati Jack.

A huge congratulations to Jack Williams on making his Wales U16 debut against the Republic of Ireland!
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Jack is only 14 years old!
Jack made a fantastic impact, scoring a goal and providing an assist to help Wales secure an impressive 3-0 victory! oo
We are incredibly proud of Jack and everything he has achieved. His hard work, dedication and commitment are truly paying off, and this is a fantastic reward for all his efforts.
Keep working hard, Jack - this is just the beginning!

Ysgol Dinas Brân is delighted to celebrate another year of excellent AS, A Level and BTec results, reflecting the dedication, resilience and ambition of our students. Across a wide range of subjects, students have achieved outcomes of which they can be immensely proud, with many securing top grades, including A* and A grades, and demonstrating strong performance across both AS and A Level qualifications.

These results are the culmination of years of commitment, hard work and determination. Their achievements have opened exciting pathways to university, higher apprenticeships, employment and further training, providing a strong foundation for successful and fulfilling futures.

As a school, we recognise that success on this scale is never achieved in isolation. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our teaching and support staff whose expertise, care and unwavering commitment have guided students throughout their learning journeys.

We would also like to thank parents and carers for their encouragement and support. The partnership between home and school remains one of the most important factors in student success, and these results are a testament to that shared commitment.

Most importantly, today is about celebrating our students. We are incredibly proud not only of the grades they have achieved but also of the character they have shown throughout their time at Ysgol Dinas Brân. They leave us as confident, capable and compassionate young adults, ready to make a positive contribution to their communities and to the wider world.

Everyone at Ysgol Dinas Brân congratulates our AS, A Level and Btec students on their achievements and wishes them every success as they take their next steps. We look forward to following their future accomplishments and are confident that they will continue to thrive in whichever path they choose.

Noson Wobrwyo Ysgol Dinas Brân 2026
Cafwyd noson arbennig iawn yn Noson Wobrwyo Ysgol Dinas Brân 2026. Cyflwynwyd dros 100 o wobrau yn ystod y noson wrth i deuluoedd, ffrindiau a staff wylio â balchder.
Roedd pob un o'r enillwyr yn ymgorffori arwyddair yr ysgol, "Llwyddiant trwy Ymdrech", ac maent yn glod i'w teuluoedd, eu hathrawon a'r ysgol gyfan. Da iawn i chi gyd.
Hoffem hefyd estyn ein diolch diffuant i'r Dr. Cymraeg am rannu ei angerdd dros yr iaith Gymraeg ac am ysbrydoli'r enillwyr a'r gynulleidfa gyda'i eiriau calonogol, ei ddoethineb a'i neges bwerus.

Yn ddiweddar, cafodd disgyblion 9D gyfle i fwynhau ymweliad addysgol cyffrous â Chwarel Trefor gyda’r Urdd, lle cawsant y cyfle i gymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau abseilio arbennig iawn.

Trefnwyd yr ymweliad mewn partneriaeth â ‘Tirlun’, cwmni sy’n ymroddedig i ddarparu profiadau dysgu awyr agored sy’n helpu pobl ifanc i gysylltu â’r amgylchedd naturiol a dysgu ohono. Drwy gydol y dydd, heriodd y disgyblion eu hunain drwy ddod i lawr oddi ar wyneb y chwarel, gan ddatblygu eu hyder, eu gwytnwch a’u sgiliau gwaith tîm wrth gamu allan a mentro i dir anghyfarwydd.

Yn ogystal â phrofi cyffro’r abseilio, dysgodd y disgyblion am bwysigrwydd addysg awyr agored, asesu risg, cyfrifoldeb personol a thirwedd a hanes unigryw’r ardal leol. Bu i’r profiad eu hannog i feithrin ymddiriedaeth ynddynt eu hunain ac eraill, yn ogystal â datblygu gwerthfawrogiad dyfnach o’r awyr agored.

Bu’r diwrnod yn llwyddiant ysgubol, ac rydym yn hynod falch o benderfyniad a’r agwedd gadarnhaol a ddangoswyd gan bob un a gymerodd ran.

Recently, pupils from 9D enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Trevor Quarry with the Urdd, where they had the opportunity to take part in thrilling abseiling activities.

The visit was organised in partnership with Tirlun, a company dedicated to providing outdoor learning experiences that help young people connect with and learn from the natural environment. Throughout the day, pupils challenged themselves by descending the quarry face, developing their confidence, resilience and teamwork skills while stepping outside of their comfort zones.

As well as experiencing the excitement of abseiling, pupils learned about the importance of outdoor education, risk assessment, personal responsibility and the unique landscape and history of the local area. The experience encouraged them to build trust in themselves and others, whilst gaining a greater appreciation for the outdoors.

A fantastic day was had by all, and we are incredibly proud of the determination and positive attitude shown by every pupil who took part.

Gofynnwn yn garedig i rieni/gwarcheidwaid gyfrannu unrhyw wisg ysgol, esgidiau neu offer ysgol glân, mewn cyflwr da, sydd wedi mynd yn rhy fach neu’n ddiangen, i’n RHAGLEN CYFNEWID GWISG YSGOL. Anfonwch unrhyw eitemau gyda’ch plant neu dewch â nhw i’r Dderbynfa.
Diolch o flaen llaw am gymryd rhan yn y cynllun hwn. Y gobaith yw helpu teuluoedd yn ystod yr argyfwng costau byw presennol yn ogystal â helpu'r amgylchedd trwy ailddefnyddio eitemau a allai fod wedi cael eu taflu. Bydd yr eitemau a dderbynnir ar gael i’w casglu o’r Llyfrgell bob dydd. Diolch yn fawr.

Please can parents/carers donate any out grown/no longer required good condition, clean uniform/school shoes/equipment to our UNIFORM EXCHANGE PROGRAMME. Please send in with your children or drop at Reception.
Thank you in advance for participating in this scheme. We hope that this helps families during the current cost of living crisis and helps the environment by reusing items which may have been discarded. Donated uniform is available to collect by students daily from the Learning Zone. Thank you.

Fforwm Cynghorau Ysgolion Cynradd

Cynhaliwyd Fforwm Cynghorau Ysgolion Uwchradd yn Neuadd y Sir, Rhuthun, a chafodd disgyblion o Ysgol Dinas Brân, (Poppy, Edie a Sam Bl12) gyfle i ymweld â Siambr y Cyngor Sir a chyfarfod a gofyn cwestiynau i’r Cynghorydd Bobby Feeley, Cadeirydd y Cyngor Sir, y Cynghorydd Diane King, Aelod Arweiniol Plant, Cymunedau a Theuluoedd, a Rocio Cifuentes, Comisiynydd Plant Cymru.

Rhannodd y disgyblion y gwaith pwysig maen nhw wedi bod yn ei wneud yn ystod y flwyddyn ysgol, ac fe gawsant gyfle i ddysgu am brosesau democrataidd y Cyngor, system ficroffonau’r Siambr a’r system bleidleisio electronig.

Meddai’r Cynghorydd Diane King, Aelod Arweiniol Addysg, Plant a Theuluoedd:
“Mae’n hanfodol bwysig bod pobl ifanc yn ymgysylltu â democratiaeth leol ac yn ei deall, a deall sut y mae’n gweithredu.
Mae’r ddau ddiwrnod diwethaf wedi bod yn werth chweil – mae gwrando ar syniadau a lleisiau disgyblion o bob cwr i’r sir wedi bod mor braf.
Hoffwn ddiolch i’r holl ddisgyblion a oedd yn bresennol ac a wnaeth y digwyddiad hwn yn llwyddiannus eto eleni.”

Meddai Rocio Cifuentes, Comisiynydd Plant Cymru:
“Mae wedi bod yn wych gweld disgyblion o gynifer o ysgolion yn dod ynghyd i rannu’r gwaith maent wedi bod yn ei wneud a dysgu mwy am y ffordd y mae penderfyniadau’n cael eu gwneud yn lleol.

Mae cyfleoedd fel hyn o gymorth i gysylltu’r hyn sy’n digwydd mewn ysgolion gyda’r gymuned yn ehangach, a rhoi hyder i bobl ifanc siarad a chymryd rhan.

Mae’r fforymau hyn yn dangos pa mor bwysig ydyw i greu lle i wrando ar bobl ifanc a’u cymryd o ddifrif.”

Secondary School Council Forum
The Secondary School Council Forum was held at County Hall in Ruthin, with a chance for pupils from Ysgol Dinas Bran (Poppy, Edie and Sam BL12) to visit the County Council Chamber and meet and ask questions to Councillor Bobby Feeley, County Council Chair, Councillor Diane King, Lead Member for Children, Communities and Families, and Rocio Cifuentes, Children’s Commissioner for Wales.

The pupils shared the important work they have been doing over the school year, and got to learn about the democratic process at the Council, the chamber microphone system, as well as the electronic voting system.

Councillor Diane King, Lead Member for Education, Children and Families said:
“It is vitally important that young people engage with and understand local democracy and how it functions.
The last two days have been so rewarding, to be able to listen to the ideas and voices of pupils from around the county has been so refreshing.
I’d like to thank all of the pupils who attended and helped make this event successful once again this year.”

Rocio Cifuentes, Children’s Commissioner for Wales said:

“It’s been great to see pupils from so many schools come together to share the work they’ve been doing and learn more about how decisions are made locally.
Opportunities like this help connect what happens in schools with the wider community, and give young people the confidence to speak up and take part.
These forums show just how important it is to create space for young people to be listened to and taken seriously.”
Thank you to Edie, Poppy and Sam for being excellent ambassadors of our school community.
