⭐️ Update for 2 year olds in Carmarthenshire ⭐️

From 7th September 2026, all two-year-old children living in Carmarthenshire will be eligible12.5 hours of funded childcare per week.

3rd week of the holidays and just as many toys broken, broken resources get replaced with my own income and it’ll get to the point that I won’t be able to keep buying replacements

Giving the children the opportunity to cut their own snacks comes with many benefits:

⭐️ strengthens their small hand muscles
⭐️ demands attention to safety and technique
⭐️ boosts self-esteem through mastering real-world tasks
⭐️ increases willingness to try new foods
⭐️ helps judge sizes, distances, and required pressure
⭐️ teaches using both hands together differently

For me it was seeing those smiling faces when they could see they’d cut through the fruit ☺️

A lovely afternoon spent with Tîm Blynyddoedd Cynnar Cwm Gwendraeth Early Years Team attending their sensory story telling session 📚🐛

We enjoyed listening to the story before getting involved in activities all relating to the Hungry Caterpillar 🐛

Our last Welly Wednesday now until September!

We had a lovely session keeping cool in the shaded woods with lots of water play. We enjoyed working on our cutting skills before making fruit kebabs with the fruit we had cut 🍓🍉🍇
