Massive congratulations to Year 11 pupil, Maita, who was the highest performer in Cambridge OCR’s GCSE Psychology this summer.

Cambridge OCR is one of the leading UK awarding bodies, which means Maita is one of the top performing students in the country. This is in addition to her being one of several pupils who achieved an outstanding 11 A* grades at GCSE. Well done, Maita, what a fantastic achievement!

This is the second consecutive year that a pupil studying Psychology at St.Mike’s has achieved this.

Bowen was also one of our boarding students whilst at St. Mike’s and he will now be heading to the University of Manchester to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Bowen liked the fact that the school is a close-knit community; ‘ you don’t have to walk too far for classes and teachers know you on a personal level better so it feels easier to communicate with them’.

Nethra will be studying Medicine at Cardiff University following on from her brilliant A-Level results.

Owain said: “When I leave school, I would like to study Law and potentially become either a solicitor or barrister.” Some of his favourite memories of being in the school are performing in the Christmas concerts as a part of the brass and jazz band, as well as the prom.
