✨🏆 We were delighted to attend the Children’s CareTech Awards 2026! 🏆✨

It was a truly wonderful occasion, bringing colleagues together from across CareTech’s children’s services to celebrate and recognise the excellence, dedication and outstanding achievements of the teams and individuals who make such a meaningful difference every day. 💙

The awards provided a fantastic opportunity to shine a light on the hard work, commitment and passion demonstrated across our services, recognising those who consistently go above and beyond to provide high-quality care, support and positive experiences for the children and young people we work with.

It was inspiring to hear the stories behind the nominations and celebrate the achievements of colleagues who continually strive to make a difference. Every achievement reflects the dedication, compassion, teamwork and commitment that underpin the work taking place across CareTech’s children’s services.

🌟 A HUGE congratulations to our very own Child Engagement Worker, Nicola Allen, on winning the Support Worker/Teaching Assistant of the Year award! 🌟

This is a fantastic and well-deserved achievement, recognising Nicola’s dedication, commitment and the positive difference she makes through her work with children and young people. We are incredibly proud to see her hard work and contribution recognised at such a special event. Nicola, you should be so proud of this achievement! 👏💙🏆

A huge congratulations to all the nominees, finalists and winners! It was a privilege to be part of an event that celebrates the amazing people working across CareTech’s children’s services and recognises the impact they make every single day.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible children who are part of fostering journeys. 🌟

When a family opens their hearts and home to a child who needs a safe place to stay, fostering can bring changes for everyone in the household. The children of foster carers play their own special part in this journey, showing kindness, patience, understanding and compassion along the way. 💕

We want to recognise and celebrate them for the important role they play, the adjustments they make, and the love and support they help create within their families.

**Urgent Appeal - Please Share**

He’s five. He’s been in hospital since November 2025 and has nowhere to call home. Could you be the family he’s waiting for?

An urgent fostering appeal in South West Wales. Please share this appeal. You may know someone who could give him the home he’s waiting for.

A familiar voice at bedtime. The comfort of everyday routines. Someone who gets to know the little things that help him feel safe.
These are the moments of family life we want for a five-year-old boy who has spent many months in hospital.

He has complex care needs, and we are urgently searching for a foster carer who can give him the skilled support, warmth and reassurance he needs in a nurturing family home.

You could be single, part of a couple or already have a family. What matters is your relevant care experience, your skills and your commitment to providing consistent, loving care.

Do you have a bungalow, an adapted home or a downstairs room that could be used as a bedroom?
Ideally, your home will already be suitably adapted. If adaptations are needed, the local authority can fund essential changes specifically required for his care, where a suitable fostering match is agreed with someone who has the right skills and commitment.

Our specialist team at TLC Wales will provide training, guidance and ongoing support, helping you prepare for his arrival and care for him at home.
You will also receive a fostering allowance. We’ll explain the full financial and practical support package during your initial conversation.
