Prom Ally CIC offers the free loan of prom dresses and suits to students who cannot otherwise afford one all around the UK.

Aims of PromAlly:

“The relief of financial hardship among school children including sixth formers and college students in further education only, living in the United Kingdom [including Scotland and Northern Ireland] by providing the free loan of prom dresses which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means”.

We cannot believe it’s been a whole year since our Comedy Store Fundraiser in London hosted and organised by the fabulous 💃🏼

What an amazing night with such an iconic line up of comedians, the opportunity to show a film made by students from Ysgol Gogarth with & most importantly lots of money raised for Prom Ally!

Tonight at 7:30pm is our ONE YEAR WHATNOT-iversary show! 🎉👏

Can’t believe it’s been a whole year of our evening live auctions! Whatnot has been a lifeline for our little CIC and without discovering jt last year (thanks Sioned!) we would be really struggling to make it to 2027 Prom Season!

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has tuned in, shared, commented and bidded on our auctions this last year… without you we wouldn’t have been able to help as many teenagers as we did this prom season! 💃🏼

Make sure to tune in tonight for lots of stunning dresses of all sizes ranging from £5-£30 starts! Even if you’re not looking for a dress, just tuning in and joining the chat boosts our show up the Whatnot algorithm! 💃🏼👗

🎒 New school year = a new prom year begins…💃

As students across the UK start heading back to school and college this week, here at Prom Ally we’re already thinking about something a little further ahead…

✨ PROM SEASON 2027! ✨

And seeing as it’s a new school year, we thought it was a good time to reintroduce ourselves 💗

Prom Ally started with a simple idea: no young person should have to miss out on prom because they can’t afford an outfit.

What began with a small collection of donated prom dresses has somehow turned into 11 years of dresses, suits, referrals, pop-ups, parcels, thousands of donated outfits and young people supported across the UK 🤯

And now we’re getting ready for our…

🎉 TWELFTH PROM SEASON! 🎉

Prom Ally provides FREE prom dress and suit loans to young people facing financial hardship or other circumstances that might otherwise make attending prom difficult. Our outfits are donated by the public, given another chance to shine and kept in use for future students too ♻️💚

And we’ve got LOTS happening behind the scenes as we prepare for 2027…

This was just a little insight into a “quiet day” outside of prom season where there were no big events on but just the usual everyday comings and goings! Make sure to stay tuned though as we have a very full calendar this Autumn with lots of exciting things happening! 💃🏼🍁

It’s coming to the end of the Summer holidays and we’ve been looking back at some of the photos you have sent in this prom season 📸

Absolutely love this one! We sometimes don’t just provide outfits to individuals but in some cases we are able to help a whole year group or a whole class with free outfit loans.

Good news 👏

Our 100 Years of Dresses Exhibition at is being extended all the way until the October Half Term!

But at the end of the Summer Holidays we’re going to give it a little shakeup and swap some of the dresses on display! If you want to pop in before we change any of the current displays, you’ve still got a week or so of Summer left! ☀️

It’s just £5 entry to the museum (and that gives you an annual pass) & Under 18s go free! 🥰
