🎭 Musical Theatre- READY, PREP, AUDITION!

With our SHREK auditions coming up, we’ll be helping students build the skills, confidence and resilience they need to approach auditions feeling prepared and positive.

Through practical exercises, mock auditions, singing, dance, monologues and self tapes, students will develop their audition technique and professionalism in a fun and supportive environment.

The focus isn’t on getting a particular role, but on giving every student the tools and confidence to walk into any audition feeling ready to do their best! 💚🎭

💙 Back to PQA: We're Here for You! 💙

As we head back to Academy, excitement isn't always the only feeling in the room. For some students, those first sessions back can bring a few nerves too.
Whether they're:
✨ Returning to PQA after the holidays�✨ Joining a new group�✨ Making new friendships�✨ Or attending their very first PQA session

Please know that feeling nervous is completely normal.

At PQA, we're here to help every student feel settled, supported and confident. Our younger students can benefit from our buddy system, where experienced PQA students help guide and support them during sessions and break times. Alongside this, our amazing teachers and assistants are always on hand with a smile, a chat and plenty of encouragement.

🎭 Our students are fantastic actors, so sometimes nervous feelings can be hidden behind a brave face. Please remind your child that they can always reach out to any member of the team if they need someone to talk to, stand with, or simply listen.

📣 Parents and carers, please don't hesitate to contact me if your child is feeling anxious or worried about returning. Communication is key, and if it matters to them, it matters to us.
Together, we'll help them settle back into Academy life and get ready for all the exciting opportunities, friendships and performances ahead!

We have lots of brand new starters joining us, exciting projects kicking off and SO much to look forward to as we work our way towards our SHREK auditions! 🧌💚

And remember… you need to be a PQA student to receive your audition pack and be eligible to audition.

We have LIMITED SPACES available for students wanting to join us for this incredible production at PONTIO in Bangor! 🎭✨

We absolutely LOVED our experience performing Dreamcoats at PONTIO last year and we cannot wait to be back on that stage with our PQA students! 💙

🎭 NEW DRAMA PROJECT

We’re excited to introduce a brand new PQA commissioned project!

Over 6 weeks, students will explore how to create characters, stories and worlds using only their bodies, voices and imaginations. Through movement, mime, storytelling, poetry and dance, they’ll develop their creativity, confidence and ensemble skills.

No props. No set. No screens. Just them! 🎭✨

🎬 NEW SKETCH COMEDY FILM PROJECT

Get ready for a quickfire sketch comedy project inspired by shows like Monty Python and modern sketch groups!

Students will create, write and perform their own 10 to 60 second comedy sketches, exploring characters, storytelling and film scene structure. Our Red Group will also have the opportunity to get behind the camera and bring their sketches to life on film!

Short, silly, creative and completely their own! 😂🎬
