First Easter activity of many for this week with some sensory painting 🫟 🐰 the boys loved getting messy and exploring different tools for making marks and then pressing a plain Easter egg template on the top to transfer the print! Even the clear up was fun, getting to scrumple up the foil made a wonderful noise!

🚨 Important for Childminders & Families 🚨
The government petition is now live to protect the 10% wear and tear allowance for childminders.

This allowance recognises that our homes are our workplaces. The floors, furniture, gardens, toys, walls, doors, equipment even the plumbing all take daily wear because of the work we do. Removing it puts even more pressure on an already stretched sector.
Many childminders support children who can’t cope in large settings, including children with SEND. Losing experienced childminders doesn’t just affect us, it affects families, children and local communities.
Don't let the government force us out and take the choice of a smaller home from home setting away from the families that rely on us.

Retain the 10% wear and tear allowance for childminders, or introduce an equivalent alternative that reflects the additional household costs of providing regulated childcare from home and helps ensure childminding remains financially sustainable.

This morning's craft was a simple painting set up with Autumn colours to practice fine motor skills and colour recognition. Both littlies preferred to hold the pompoms to stamp and feel the paint on their fingers, they had great fun mixing and exploring the colours!

September is nearly over and I hope all the little schoolies out there have settled into their new classrooms. Busy year for leapfrogs this year with some new school runs and a new friend to play with!

Over the summer we were super busy renovating another part of the house, the kitchen and utility room are now functioning with just a few small bits to finish off! 🙌🏽 Pete has been working so hard at home to get all aspects of the project done as well as working his day job, Beare Electrical definitely deserves a shout out, the quality of work and attention to detail never falters.
