Six weeks is a long time.
Kids around.
Days out.
Working around childcare.
Drop-offs.
Pick-ups.
Someone always hungry.
Someone always needing something.
And trying to keep normal life ticking over at the same time.
Then school starts back.
And it’s not like everyone suddenly has loads of free time.
Work’s still there.
School runs are back.
Clubs start again.
The calendar fills up.
Life’s still busy.
It just feels like a slightly different kind of busy.
A bit more predictable.
A bit less like every day’s being made up as you go along.
And maybe there’s finally a little bit of space to think about yourself again.
Training.
Going for a walk.
Seeing friends.
Getting a bit of time to yourself.
Or just doing something without someone needing you halfway through it.
Not because September means everything suddenly has to be sorted.
Just because after six weeks of summer holidays, having a little bit of your own headspace back can make a hell of a difference.
