Learn Outdoors/The Wilderness Project Life, it's your adventure! One of the UKs first, largest and most trusted AAPs, delivering DofE expeditions nationwide.

Visit www.learn-outdoors.co.uk for DofE expeditions. Visit https://wilderness-project.org/ for bushcraft & outdoor training. We specialise in teaching the skills necessary for enjoying a safe time in the hills and mountains of the UK through bespoke expeditions, training courses and fun team building events. Based in the Cambrian Mountains of mid Wales we run a range of rewarding and bespoke outdoor events and courses. We run the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expeditions, bushcraft and navigation training, team building events and life coaching courses. Most importantly though, we help individuals achieve their goals and have fun along the way.

🔥 Our 2026 bushcraft season is beginning to draw to a close. We typically operate between March and October for bushcraft due to the irregularity of British winters (although you could say the same about British summers).

🌲 We are still happy to explore private bookings outside of this timeframe and our public courses will resume in March 2027 (first course on the 30th - 31st of March).

📅 Much of our calendar is booked months even years in advance so if you would like to discuss training/courses for next year, please get in contact with us.

Beautiful evening light followed by dark skies the next day, but diversity in weather prepares participants for the reality of walking in the UK and adds to the adventure of a DofE expedition! ☀️🌧️
