We’re thrilled to announce that Quirky Kid Serei from PQA Leicester has been cast as the fabulous, fierce and wonderfully competitive Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical! at Curve Theatre, Leicester.

The production runs at The Curve from Saturday 21 November 2026 to Saturday 16 January 2026.

Get ready for big personality, bigger confidence and a whole lot of Violet! 🫐

We couldn’t be prouder of Serei as she takes on this iconic role. 💛

We are devastated to hear about the loss of Country Queen Dolly Parton 👢🎤

An incredibly inspiring woman who wrote so many hits we know and love, starred in movies and wrote musicals.

But more than that, Dolly was someone who loved everyone as they are, who lifted others up and empowered people across the world. She funded more than 300 million books to children worldwide through her Imagination Library 📚, donated $1 million to fund covid vaccine research 💉and a scholarship so that students from her home county can go to college 🎒🏫

Dolly was someone who was authentically herself, and utterly amazing. The world could do with more like her.

So when in doubt, ask yourself ........ what would Dolly do? 💛🖤

We're so proud of Beth, our fabulous Comedy & Drama Teacher 🎭 who is receiving rave reviews for all THREE of her shows at the Edinburgh Fringe this year! Beth has written and stars in each production, who better to teach out fab students than someone living and breathing theatre life!

🌟 Meet Alyssa, Our New Academy Assistant!

We’re so excited to welcome Alyssa to the team! 💛🎭

Alyssa is in her final year studying Animal Welfare Science 🐾 and has been dancing since she was 2 💃. She’s performed in Edinburgh am‑dram from age 9, appearing in shows like Seussical, All Shook Up, and High School Musical. She’s competed across the UK and even at the Dance World Cup in Portugal 🌍✨.She trained at MDA, where she’s also been a teaching assistant for four years, and has recently performed in The Music Man, Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys and Dolls, and with Showcase 🎶💫

She can’t wait to support our young performers and watch them shine! And to make today even more special… it’s Alyssa’s 21st birthday! 🎉🎂💛

Let’s give her the warmest PQA welcome.

Our friends at BLOC are on the hunt for young cast members! 💛

⭐️ Meet Young Charlie & Young Lola - where it all begins ⭐️

Young Charlie and Young Lola give us a glimpse into the childhood experiences that shape the people they will become. We’re looking for two young performers with confidence, strong acting ability and a natural stage presence to bring these important moments to life.

Before term ended, we asked our Red Group what the best thing about joining PQA has been.

Yes, they love their classes , the singing, the acting, the laughs, the chaos, but what really lit them up was talking about the friendships they’ve made. The confidence boosts, the inside jokes, the feeling of walking into a room where everyone is supports you… that’s the magic they kept coming back to.

It’s a reminder that PQA isn’t just about performing, it’s about belonging. Watching these young people grow together, support each other, and build real connections has been one of the absolute highlights of our year 🌟🖤
