Our little artists and scientists have been busy creating their very own Moon surfaces using a simple mixture of flour and baking soda! 🌙🖌️
Through this hands-on sensory activity, children explored different textures, experimented with mixing materials, and used their creativity to design craters and landscapes inspired by the Moon. The experience encouraged curiosity, imagination, and early scientific thinking while developing fine motor skills and confidence through play. 🌟
Learning doesn't always happen with pencils and paper – sometimes the best discoveries are made with messy hands, curious minds, and a little bit of imagination! 💫

🌙🚀 Moon Rock Exploration at Fun Little Education Nursery! 🚀🌙

Our little scientists have been on an exciting journey to the Moon today! 🌕✨
During our Moon Rock Exploration activity, children investigated and compared different rocks, pretending they were lunar samples collected from the Moon. Using scales, magnifying glasses, and their observation skills, they explored weight, size, shape, texture, and colour while developing early maths, science, and language skills. 🔍⚖️🪨

Hands-on investigations like these encourage curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love of learning. Most importantly, they inspire children to ask questions, make predictions, and discover the world around them through play. 🌟

🌙✨ Can I Go to the Moon? 🚀🐻 ✨🌙

This week at Fun Little Education Nursery, our children explored the wonderful story "Whatever Next!" by Jill Murphy. 📚💙

Using props from the story, the children brought Baby Bear’s adventure to life as they imagined travelling to the moon in a cardboard box, wearing wellies and taking a picnic along the way! 🐻📦🌕🥾

Through storytelling and imaginative play, the children developed their:
✨ communication and language skills
✨ creativity and imagination
✨ confidence in sharing ideas
✨ understanding of stories and characters

It was wonderful to see so many curious minds asking questions about space, the moon and what adventures might be waiting beyond the stars. 🌟🚀

🧺📚🐻 A Story Comes to Life at Fun Little Education Nursery! 🐻📚🧺

This week our children stepped right into the pages of a wonderful story as they explored a beautiful picnic-themed literacy invitation inspired by one of their favourite books! ✨

Through storytelling, role play, sensory exploration and imaginative play, the children were encouraged to develop their language skills, build vocabulary and deepen their understanding of the story. 🦉🍯🍎

Our cosy picnic setup sparked curiosity and conversation as the children talked about the characters, explored the props, retold parts of the story and shared their own ideas about what they might bring to a picnic. 💬🌟

At Fun Little Education Nursery, we believe that books are powerful tools for learning. By bringing stories to life, we help children develop a love of reading, creativity and confidence in communication. ❤️📖

We are continuing our exciting transport topic! The children are exploring different ways of travelling – on land and at sea.
Our tuff tray is ready and waiting for little explorers! 🌟
We’ve created a sensory beach and ocean scene with boats, sand, shells, and sea animals to inspire imaginative play, storytelling, and hands-on learning.
Through play, children will develop their creativity, language skills, and understanding of the world around them 🌍💙
