STAR Harmonies Ltd SC565029 Musical Theatre Workshops and classes which aim to develop children's talent and build their confidence.A vibrant business established in 2012, its holiday workshops in musical theatre cover everything from singing, dancing and acting to sessions on prop making and stage make-up.And if the stage bug bites, Star Harmonies also offers weekly classes for all ages, with cla

sses on Tuesday evenings, 5:30-8:30pm at Polbeth Harwood Parish Church.The business was set up by Allison Barr and passed over to her daughter Aimie fully in 2021. She and her enthusiastic and professional staff encourage their pupils to work towards real performances. Star Harmonies also provides Singing Lessons, preparation for MT exams and basic Music Theory. We can also do Childrens Birthday parties and one off Pre-School Musical Theatre classes and Singing Sessions. Some of our starz enjoyed an end of summer treat last night attending a workshop with the wonderful Billie Kerr from the cast of SIX the musical 👑🎤

This was a super special workshop as Billie & our principal Aimie actually met in January 2017 (almost 10 years ago now) at a drama school audition in Glasgow. It was so special to reunite after all this time 💖

Thank you to Billie for coming along and inspiring our starz - and thank you to our starz for being so fabulous and giving it their all! 🤩✨

❕WE ARE HIRING – Tutors & Class Assistants❕

Join our friendly, well-established musical theatre school in West Lothian! We're looking for Tutors and Class Assistants to support our weekly classes and holiday workshops throughout the year.

Requirements:

* Aged 18+
* PVG required (or willing to join the scheme)
* Passion for working with children

💫Tutors:

* Minimum HND in Performing Arts and/or professional performance experience
* Teach students aged 3–18 across drama, singing and/or dance depending on area of expertise

✨Class Assistants:

* Performing arts experience or training
* Support Drama, Dance and Singing classes, primarily with children up to P7, alongside our qualified tutors

Opportunities:

* Be a part of our special team to help create incredible performance opportunities, experiences and memories for children and young people across West Lothian
* Employed and freelance roles available
* Pay: £11.50–£18.50 per hour, depending on role, age and experience

WOW 🤩 What can we say?! We are so incredibly proud of every single one of our starz for their 3 amazing performances of The Little Mermaid Jr at Reconnect Howden Park (licensed by Music Theatre International) this weekend 🧜🏻‍♀️🪸

Introducing…

Ariel

Ariel, played by the phenomenal Annie, is a curious and adventurous young mermaid who dreams of exploring the world beyond the sea. Fascinated by human life, she longs to discover what exists above the ocean’s surface. Throughout The Little Mermaid JR., Ariel follows her heart, faces difficult choices, and learns the importance of courage, determination, and staying true to herself. Her journey of self-discovery inspires those around her and shows that pursuing your dreams can lead to extraordinary adventures. Annie is so excited to step into the title role of Ariel and has worked incredibly hard to get to this point throughout her years at Star Harmoneez MTS, we are so proud of her and all of our starz!

Prince Eric

Prince Eric, played by the fantastic Quinn, is a brave and adventurous young prince who dreams of exploring the world beyond his kingdom. Though expected to follow royal traditions, he longs for excitement and genuine connection. When he meets Ariel, he is drawn to her kindness, curiosity, and spirit. Throughout Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., Eric follows his heart, showing courage, compassion, and determination as he searches for true love and discovers what really matters. This will be Quinn’s first show with us here at Star Harmoneez MTS but you wouldn’t think it, he has worked so hard and is ready to perform his heart out on stage!

Sebastian

Sebastian, played by our Charlotte, is King Triton’s loyal court composer and trusted advisor. A cheerful Caribbean crab, he tries to keep Ariel out of trouble while looking out for the kingdom’s best interests. Though he often finds himself caught up in Ariel’s adventures, Sebastian’s humor, wisdom, and big heart make him one of the musical’s most lovable characters. Charlotte is an excellent triple threat performer so come along to see her sing, dance and act her way through this amazing show!
