A massive congratulations to Velocity Racing who have now been crowned Scottish Champions and won best pit display!

Well done for all your hard work and we wish you the best of luck over these next few months on the run up to Singapore!

We've been to Italy!

Over the past week, we've been over in Italy visiting the Scuderia Toro Rosso and Pirelli factories along with the Ferrari museum!

We flew over on Monday and were immediately greeted with warm weather. We settled down, and prepared for the following days.

Tuesday saw us take a trip into Pisa where we saw the leaning tower close up and in person! Of course, this was only the start of what the week had in store for us.

Wednesday came around and that meant our visit to the Toro Rosso factory! We got taken around the 3 floors of the factory, starting off with the initial parts being made and the whole process behind it, working our way up through the design offices, and finishing the whole thing off with the final assembly of the cars right at the top! It was hugely fascinating to a have a close look at the amount of effort that goes into creating these highly intricate pieces of engineering.
We also had a tour of the Ferrari museum looking at the whole of Ferrari's history from the first Ferrari ever made to the LaFerrari FXX K and everything between!

Thursday was our final day away which took us to the Pirelli factory (after a 3 hour drive the previous night). We began at the main office building taking a look at the history of Pirelli. We then moved over to the archives which took a more in-depth look at the history and ideas behind the Pirelli brand, including other products they made like rubber ducks! Our second-to-last stop saw us going to the testing and R and D areas where the vigorous tests took place and new ideas were developed. The tour concluded at the production line where we saw the whole process behind making a Pirelli tyre.

The whole week was an experience none of us will ever forget and we couldn't be more thankful of the companies for showing us around the the folks at F1 in Schools for not only giving us the chance to go on these tours, but also for helping us all further ourselves as people and as a team!

Congratulations to Astar Racing for coming in the Top 3 under the Professional Class banner! All the best to you with your future endeavours towards Nationals!

We did it! Nationals here we come! We also got the Fastest Car Award with our time being 1.188s.

It's been a while, eh? Mixing school and homework, jet lag, and a bunch of teenagers doesn't exactly result in extra productivity.

So now that the 11 months have paid off, our feed will be going quiet for the foreseeable future. Something may pop up every now and then with the future F1iS teams from Inveralmond CHS, but from all of us here at Kinetikos Racing; Thank You.

This has been an incredible experience for all of us involved and we're so glad to have a community like this backing us up. Thank you to all of our partners who have put as much as possible into helping us achieve the two awards in Austin.
Thank you to all of our parents, the staff, and everyone who's chipped in along the way for putting their free time into helping us in whatever way they can.

And with that, it's been a wild ride, but we're taking a break. And for one final time:

Some pictures from the past few days!

So now that the competition's over, we're taking some time to enjoy the Grand Prix!

Before anything else, we would like to take the time to give a sincerely heartfelt thanks to all of those who have helped us achieve what we have. Be it our partners, friends or family, teachers, or people we've met along the way. We couldn't have done any of this without you!

A big thanks as well to the F1 in Schools team who let us in to the Paddock yesterday during qualifying where we were able to get a few pictures and our hats signed by Lewis Hamilton himself! Alongside this, we managed to photobomb Sky Sports during his interview. We were also interviewed by F1iS post races to see what we'd been up to and such.

Today saw us go back to COTA again for the main Grand Prix, trying to survive the heat, and also getting some extra merchandise along the way.

Again, thanks to all of those who've helped us reach this point and thanks to Scuderia Ferrari and Torro Rosso for the giftbags they provided along with our awards! We love them!

So following three days of competing, presenting and talking to the range of judges the 2016 World Finals will draw to a close tonight with the awards ceremony.
What an experience it has been from start to finish, meeting so many friend from around the globe and seeing all of the 6 months of preparation come to a finale.

It has been an experience that none of us will ever forget, and we are only just at the half way point of the trip.

There have been many highs and a few lows, but the experience has genuinely surpassed every expectation we had.

Thank you to everyone who has followed us and assisted our team along the way - we wouldn't be here without you!
